You are haunted by the need to eat, and hunted by a Wraith of the Void. Explore a world filled with strange and wonderful creatures, and decide which will make for the best snack to suit your current needs! But be warned, for you are what you eat!
Quite literally, you take on the abilities of the most recent creature consumed!
For those who think they've found everything and wanna see if there's more:
Here's an example of the world atlas! The map is procedurally generated, but the terrains are usually in a similar general area~

Very good job ;)
It was a bit hard to understand everything at first but once you get it it's fun! I like the hunger mechanic, it forces you to swap powers so you never stay with the same. I liked how clear the enemies health bar were with both color and visual threshold indication of when they can be eaten.
The map may be a bit too big? I was lost really fast, and with no goals or waypoint I didn't really know what way to explore. Great diversity of "animals" though, that's great!
Thanks for the game, I had fun 👏
Had a fantastic time playing this game here on stream: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1609528446?t=3h10m40s
.
It's great that different creatures have their own patterns of behavior.

Damn, deer, I didn't expect such a setup from you!
This game was so cute!! The idea of an oblivious character who only wants to snack while everyone is trying to kill him is so charming, haha. I could totally see this being fleshed out into a whole story arc :) It was also fun going around seeing what different abilities I could get by "eating" other creatures; similar to Kirby in that sense! I found myself going back a few times to see what the different powers would be, haha.
In terms of feedback, I think a little bit more art / sound would've gone a long way! Maybe some character animations, background music; something to make the world feel more engaging. That being said, these are all minor concerns in the grand scheme of things.
Congratulations on making this in 72 hours :) Also if you could rate my game as well, that'd be amazing; any feedback would be much appreciate!
The on-screen text and UI was pretty small, and I think "eating" has a range that is not visually indicated, but aside from that the mechanics were fairly intuitive.
Amount of art and animals you drew is quite amazing, however for me it was difficult to find out how to play. Encounters (like death or horde) were working as well pretty well, as AI itself. So I had some fun playing around. Nice entry!
