Cart Delivery by zimny11
Hello everyone!
To keep my sanity this time I went as small as I thought it was still doable, so I overestimated the scope only 3 times over... Last week was rough, so I did not had much strength going into this one... but at least it is playable :D

Description:
A small game about delivering goods to the village by a cart. Try to deliver as many as you can. The terrain and the local inhabitants will not make that task easy. Hold to your goods, protect them and do not drop them!
If someone can deliver more than 3 items in one run, without completely glitching the game, consider me impressed.
There are few hidden interactions in the game between objects and 3 (more like 2.5) secret ending texts.
Controls:
Mouse: Grab, drag and drop items
R key: Restart the game
M key: Mute the music
Tools:
Game: Godot 3.5
Music: Bosca Ceoil
Sound Effects: my recoding from the phone
Sprites: Piskel Online
Font: BitFontMaker2 Online

Only feedback is that it would be nice if the cursor change to show if you were actually hovering over an item, or if the 'hitboxes' were a tiny bit more lenient.
@ravernt Thanks for playing! Happy to hear you enjoyed it.
@bartalomew Thank you for taking your time to play my game and for commenting!
@partysquadmember Thanks! One run lasts for about 1 minute, but since it is quite hard I can see that it can be discouraging to try it multiple times to find all endings.
@myre Thanks for playing and for the feedback! The original idea had mechanic for grabbing more items and delivering some of the on the way, but I had not much strength during this LD so I scrapped it...
@ludumdarevd6xh Thanks for playing! Hope you had a good time!
@jamieok Great feedback! Hitboxes should be more forgiving for sure :) Happy to hear you try to get different endings. Did you manage to fine any of the hidden ones?
@creeepsy Thank you for playing and for your comment. Glad to hear you enjoyed it!
@sevla Thank you, I'm happy to hear you like it! I really wanted to do the barrel roll (full 360 degrees), but I decided it will be way too much to handle for the player. What I used is already really hard :)
@trakina Thanks! I had a hard time to make Godot to do what I wanted. It really does not like drab and drop mechanic for rigid bodies XD
@dan-allison Thank you for the feedback and for playing! The run is not that long, it is a bit over a minute, but I can see that it can be tedious if someone tries to see all openings. So I probably should post all endings somewhere, with spoiler warning, so people can see them, if the want to, and do not want to "grind" the game :)
@tetrapteryx Thanks! At this point I think I have some sort of a "twist" in almost all of my games. This time quite literally a twist XD
I played this for much longer than you could imagine, I thoroughly enjoyed it! This game really.. Delivers!
@svenerik Thanks for taking your time to play my game and for commenting! Sadly the time was not an issue, by my mental strength left after work :/ So I'm even more happy that people are liking it!
On my second successful(?) attempt, I brought a single potion and killed a bunny. Nobody cared about the potion and I brought about the end of humanity. Oops.
On my third successful attempt, the only survivor was the yellow box. I was really excited to finally see what was inside.
I ragequit afterwards.
In all seriousness, this was really well made! It was extremely hard, but not impossible so (except perhaps the second witch encounter - that one usually was just a run ender), and the little messages at the end were a really awesome idea that added a ton of replay value. As others have said though, the hitboxes felt a bit too small and each run slightly too long (since it took me multiple attempts to have anything survive to the end), but otherwise, great entry!
Here’s the stream if you wanted to re-watch initial thoughts (timestamps in the description to jump to your game!) [youtube link](youtu.be/7zAPBeiWuqA)
I managed to deliver one... anvil.
This was a neat experience, I would love to know what the best result someone has managed to get it as it is quite challanging. One thing that would be super cool is if you added an endless mode where you have 3 lives (- 1 life each time an item gets lost). Would be fun to see who gets the furthest
Loved the visual style of the game, great job overall!
@elflashor Thank you for playing my game and for commenting. Happy to hear you liked it!
@pincushion I'm glad you like the barrel roll :D So far two people would get a cookie (that incudes me). Happy to hear that ending text made it worth trying again :)
I'd have loved to pick up the rabbit! Items could get a little hove effect (modulate is easiest) if mouse is at the right position to grab them. I really had fun with this, love the silly physics and giving a thorough ending screen gives my effort so much more meaning than a score.
The effect of witch potions is maybe a bit hard to understand on the first run.
The end screen is so funny, well done!
I think it was very well executed, and all in all looks very polished! The visuals are nice, the rabbit is cute, everything is clear, and the music really adds something!
Great game!
@maximeg No, there is no way to get everything in one go. My best was 4 items. Thanks for playing!
@rolly Yea, that is the idea, pretty much all endings are bad XD Thank you for your kind words and for playing!
Definitely a difficult game but I get the impression that was intended. Maybe give a little more time to players to recover objects that fall off before they are lost?
Really solid entry, nicely done!
