You're a young kitten named Olive - stranded in the forest of limbo - and you must try your best to ensure your candle life doesn’t go out for good.

To stay alive, deliver residents lost items from their time on earth to help them pass on to the afterlife. But be careful! Some spirits trapped in limbo with you may not have the same interests in mind.

Incredibly charming! The sprites and animations were terrific. Sometimes the dialogue bubbles are obscured by trees, but overall definitely a favorite so far!

Omg so cute haha Don't Starve vibes. I wished there was a map and some instructions, but overall, loved it!

Beautiful art and music! I got lost the first time, so I agree with the other comment, a map would of been useful but overall this is a great entry!

Fantastic looking game with some pretty good theming! I wish there had been some way to know where the items are, or even where they're allowed to spawn as eventually hunting for those would take your entire candle's life. The enemies also weren't very dangerous which is fine, but it meant that hunting around for objects was the main focus, which again felt like it could be improved. The aesthetics really do help you forget all that though as they really are fantastic. Great job!

wowie.. there's so many good things to say about this game, but i just wanted to mention first that the OST for this game is absolutely stellar. my favorite that i've heard so far in this jam. the title screen song in particular was well composed and quite tender. im a huge fan!

the UI elements were creative, i liked the burning candle! the animation, character/map designs, and writing were soooo cute and charming. gameplay wise i could tell that you guys were a little tight on time and couldn't flesh it out entirely, but you still managed to nail the core mechanics and controls. even the abrupt ending was thematic! i would love to see this cleaned up with a few extra quality of life features and more content ^^

I love the art ! The gameplay is speed and fun. A beautifull entry !
Reminded me the game 'don’t starve' too.

I really enjoyed how the rendering, character designs and music came together to make such a unified, cute experience. Track-One Lost is a bop! The gameplay is a bit lacking in depth, but everything else makes up for it.

I hope you expand it and flesh it out more after the jam!

Wow, a very cool game! I love the graphics and the atmosphere. And the music is so great too! I felt you could make the speed of the ghosts a little slower in the beginning. But on the other hand it also built up a good pressure immediately ^^

Nice game! It got really fun once it started ramping up. Got faster and more enemies. But I like the feeling of starting slow too. Def a learning curve with no sort of tutorial. But it ads to the idea of feeling lost so that is cool. And then things become more clear if you play a bit like the items fit a color theme with houses. Very cool art and thematic things like the candle. Nice music transition from monsters to no monsters. I really hope it has a way to win, lol. I have not been able to yet. And that moose is super intriguing...One Note I had - For me the E key took some getting used to and still fumbles me up now and then. Space bar seems like id do better. Other than that controls feel good to me.

This is a really lovely game, all of the elements came together really nicely. The sound effect for the candle blowing out broke my heart, I got really attached to the protagonist. I want to save them from the moose.

Wonderful.

One tiny thing: I initially didn't play the game fullscreen, which meant the health indicator and the indicator pointing back to the fire were both not visible. In some ways that added to the terror of being lost, but maybe it's something to address.

With more time it can be really interesting!

Really great game feel. The controls are responsive and do what is expected. The graphics are very nice and the music is quite relaxing for the dark setting. I would have liked it if the enemies were affected by the lights, so they just pop out of the darkness. Good work!

The music is so beautiful! I love the mix of 2d sprites in a 3rd world too. The controls were nice and simple and so were the instructions! The combat quickly amped up though, I was expecting it to be a more peaceful game what with the theme of returning lost items to the dead hehe. It was great though!

I like the cute cat noise and the "whooft" sound when the candle gets blown out! This is SO good. The artstyle really made Lost & Found stick out to me! <3

Absolutely love the art style, animation sound! Such a charming and yet kind of melancholic vibe. Not going to lie, dying was kinda scary lol I agree that navigating around the world can be a bit difficult without a map, but otherwise an amazing entry! Very, very well done!

Very cute game. Graphics and music are awesome!

The candle timer threw me off at first and took away a little from the chill atmosphere.

Very good job on the game!

Really loved the combination of music and graphical style to make an immersive atmosphere. If you did more post-jam, it'd be cool to see some more attacks, more enemies and some different defences. After I got a few speed boosts, I could just run away from the skeletons and ghosts without having to interact. :skull: :ghost:

Again for any development post-jam, a timer/some stats at the end would be a bonus.

Great art and music create a nice atmosphere, but the gameplay is somewhat primitive and clearly needs some improvment.

Excellent atmosphere. Very responsive controls and bumping music choice contribute to a fast paced game that I appreciated. Nice lighting and vfx. The death animation was very slow and could have been smoother. Enjoyable.

Nice work! I really liked the art style and the spooky/fast-paced mood was conveyed really well. The combat felt juicy enough and handing in items was pretty satisfying. The music was also great, could feel the amount of effort put into the audio system ;).

Love the music and creative artstyle! The lighting was cool too. I found the combat a little one-note and spammy, especially with the massive hoards of enemies coming after me. I also wish objects and tents spawned more frequently, and further away from the campfire. Overall, nice entry!

BTW, late in the game the music stopped playing for me, and things stopped spawning. Might be a bug :)

Graphically it reminded me of Don't starve. Overall great entry that is big fun.

The combat itself was fun, the atmosphere is great and a lot of polish went into it. It had fast pace, good controls, hordes of enemies and cats.

Few notes:
- Lighting on the terrain plane doesn't seem to work properly (on per-pixel basis), seemed like a per-vertex one and behaved in a weird way
- You could run towards and pass 'edge of the world'
- Once there is too many enemies (you can mostly outrun them), they stack - so single hit from them instantly ends the game.

Overall, one of the best entries I've played so far.

Keep up the good work!

Great little run and deliver game, with some roguelite elements. Didn't really get what the bonfire was about, and didn't had the time to experiment because I was chased by a thousand angry ghosts. The highlight of the game is the graphics. Good job!

I like the music in this game very much. The graphics and lighting are also impressive. It took me a while to figure out how to fend off the ghosts; couldn't find the instructions for that control. It was found by accident. It was difficult to stay alive, but managed to deliver a few things and level up.

The art style in this is really cool, and it feels very polished. I do think the combat could be improved a bit, though; there are an almost comical amount of enemies and since they can all be killed in a single hit, you can get rid of them mostly by just standing still and spam-clicking in their direction, not letting any of them get close enough to actually hit you. The fact that the enemies only spawned when you picked up an item felt a little strange too, since I spent most of my time looking for them rather than the houses. Overall, though, nice work on this :)
