Squeeze & Wiggle by YogurtTheHorse
Another day in life of majestic serpent that roams the desert under the dull light of unknown star...
Suddenly, the fall!
And now the snake is stuck in deep deep caves beneath the surface. Tight and narrow tunnels weave around like a maze, locking you, squeezing you tight...
Will the snake escape such a narrow space?
Wiggle and Squeeze, that's the only way!

Leaderboards API
Our HTTP Leaderboards web API is free to use and made specially for game jams. But there is also a paid Unity package you can find here. By buying it you are not just getting a nice piece of software but you support us :)
Advice
- Currently it's not possible to submit score from phones
- Play in fullscreen :) Our pixels are crunchy and sensitive!
- You can adjust volume using slider in the left side of the screen.
- Don't give up! The game is definitely beatable. We even tested it with a touchpad.
- Sometimes your tail can stuck behind you, watch out!
- If you want to speedrun the game, you can quickly skip the first cutscene by pressing spacebar.
- Don't be shy of using pause (RMB / Space), it helps a lot on slippery slopes!
Controls
- Mouse/Touch to drag (yes, you can play on touch screen!)
- Space/right click to pause time
- Space to skip intro fast (any key when it ends)
- Middle click to retract drags (you probably won't need it)
- R to hard restart

but like actually really fun game! it was super cute and fun to mess around with the snake guy
Great take on the theme! Love u 💖
Great work!
One thing I wasn't sure about was what the number under the timer means, but that's a minor detail

Though - spamming directional drags (and resting limbs on each other) lead to the possibility to fly around - don't know if that's intentional.
Nice game!
At first when i saw your gifs it looked like it will be a hard game, but after a minute in your game or so it is really fast and comfortable!
I would like to make it to the end, but unfortunately i've got stuck xd

The physics seem pretty solid here!
Can the snake go backwards? I tried, but failed, it seems like the head parts have a stronger pull force?
This is a very creative idea, I don't remember playing anything remotely resembling this game , so kudos!
Too bad the previous records are being deleted
I was a slow learner and it took me ~14 minutes to complete the game.
Visually, this game is fantastic.
It takes a while to understand how to navigate efficiently.
The tutorial gives you the basics, but it was hard for me to completely understand the "getting tired" mechanic. I get why it exists, but sometimes I can't predict whether something will get tired or not; I can only see when it's already tired.
The levels lack some navigation hints. Sometimes it looks like the world has several paths, but you as a player has no idea where to go. I like that some of the places required advanced worko-parkour, but these places were quite rare.
I missed (misread?) the intro images (I thought they were buttons), so I missed the plot. I didn't know that we were a small work-like thing that fell down. This is why it wasn't clear to me that we're trying to get back to the surface.
Am I right that our little wormy dies in the end? :'(
Is there a better ending?
This game felt quite peaceful. I like the fact that there were no enemies.
I haven't found any bugs or issues during the playthrough, good job on that front.
Overall, the game feels quite polished.
Initially I planned to put some collectables into all the dead-ends, but time kinda got out of hand, so they feel like empty dead ends :(
The worm is eaten and the cycle of life continues...
R.I.P. my friend.
Good job :)
Update: Got 4 minutes..

The art style is so amazing, especially the environment art! Great job!

Good game! Definitely one of the best! Super fun and polished. I enjoyed every bit of it! I have nothing more to add, people already described and mentioned everything awesome about this game. You guys did an excellent job! I will come back when the goose steal the record once again.
Hey @guzman seems like you have leaderboard to burn
My place is on the bottom of the scoreboard, but I have a playthrough for you! :)

Solid core concept done justice. Nothing feels out of place or as if it doesn't belong. Music is nice and doesn't get too repetitive, controls make sense, graphics are nice and work in service of the core gameplay. Wigglign is immersive, I really felt like a snek. I like it a lot!

basically, when you have the two parts (the head and the next one) vertically aligned, you can keep pulling the other part upwards (better while it is fully greyed?) and that will somehow add lots of momentum to the head.
And yeah I almost had a new record (37 seconds) in that video but I flew past the nest lol. The hard part is landing at the nest after passing that peak and because of the solid color background, you can't accurately judge how fast you are flying.
But it seems like while still doable it now requires some skill!
Great job, all of you! Only problem I found was how easy it was to get stuck and tangled in your own body -- there were one or two places where I could barely squeeze myself out of a corner because my second segment was blocking the way. I look forward to see what you get out next time! Cheers! :beers:
An experience that will stay with me.
A unique, mind-twisting entry that does very well whatever it is it set out to do. Unlike any other, congrats.
Took a while to figure out how the control actually worked, and even then sometimes it just wouldn't cooperate.
I was certainly getting the hang of it towards the end though. The pause was definitely essential.
Some of those high scores don't seem possible, unless I anded up taking a really long route.
Wanted to ask for score chasers if you were fine with me playing some gameplay of your game in the background in the waiting period. In the waiting period while a music track is playing itll cycle through gameplay from a bunch of different games in the background
(The question wasn't addressed to us, and I missed that, but we still don't mind! :D)
Sub-40 :D Something seems up with YuryScript's time- it showed them as second even when I had a 40.xx PB.

Nice job!
