It does give me a retro kinda vibe of some shooter games from the early 2000s. I had a really enjoyable and fun experience playing it!\n\nBut there're some issues I'd like to point out. First, it took me a while to get used to the controls and upgrade mechanics. They're a bit confusing because I didn't know how to select an upgrade at first, until I figured out that I needed to press the buttons in a correct order, and then had to click on the upgrade to finally select it, but it took me a couple retry attempts though. I think some sort of tutorial would've helped a lot on teaching the player how the mechanics work. And it would be nice if the game was paused whenever the book is opened, I couldn't have count how many times I died just because I was busy on figuring out what buttons to press and the enemies just did and onslaught with their hell out bullets and projectiles.\n\nSecond, the pause feature was off, I couldn't un-pause the game after I paused it, no matter what buttons I tried to press, so to get around that I had to manually reload the page and start over. I'd suggest making the feature toggleable, by pressing the ESC key to switch between Pause and Un-pause states.\n\nThird, the game window was cut off a little bit at the bottom so I couldn't see the health bar and upgrade.
