Cute TD! I like this take on the theme. Loved the sound effects and art/animation. It was a little unclear when towers had been upgraded - from what I could see there's no visual change. More tower options would have been great too (but I know how limited time was!). Nice work putting this together in such a short time.

After wondering around in your page (which is pretty cool), I got to play the game. I love tower defense games, they remind me of my childhood playing flashgames. this one fun to experience, it feels random at first but once I realized that you can upgrade the towers it was more fun to play around. the repeating "Cthulhu" audio in the background gave me a headache though lol

I wanted more indication on the upgrade levels of the towers, but this felt like a cross between tower-defense and idle clicker.

Might have been nice to have a bit more control over tower placement and such, but this was a pretty fun little game!

Fun TD! when it got going fast I was worried I was gonna lose but managed to get to the win screen! I really liked the idea of "locking in" your tower choice. It made me prioritize upgrading certain towers after I realized which ones were placed in the best spots.

Parts of the audio was a bit too difficult to listen to for me being so repetitive, a volume slider would be helpful to turn some down

A simple but fun tower defense. I didn't realize you could pick two kinds of towers so I wound up with entirely ranged ones but still won. As others have said, the chanting background noise was a bit annoying. Having some kind of indication of the upgrade level and cost would be nice as well. Fun game.

Another Cthulhu game, yay! I hope you can check our project. It's, as said in the comments, "Love-raftian" :D

Great game! I wish there were a clear indication of current level of tower upgrade and I didn't understood what the yellow towers are doing (beat everything with just the red ones).

Great little game, the sound effects made me laugh. I felt like the UI could need some work as some things (like upgrading towers) did not feel immediately apparent. But I had fun nontheless!

It was fun. While I was playing it I was thinking only about cthulhu chibis.

Nice litte game. Works well and is easy to play. Music is a bit repetitive, but sound effects are good. Would love a bit more feedback to player input, like when you place a new minion or upgrade it. But overall good job!

Fun entry, it got pretty hectic by the end, there!
I found the sounds entertaining. It could use a bit
more of a challenge, though. As is, I was able to win
by randomly clicking around without putting much thought into it.

Nice little TD game. I think a minor enhancement that would make a major difference would be to make the upgrade levels & cost a bit more clear. Even something as simple as a (lvl 1) above the tower and an image outlining upgrade costs on the right could suffice. Overall, great job for the Compo!

Great entry, that was good fun! It took me a few goes! As others have mentioned some tower level / reach indication could be a good touch. But I did kind of like having to keep track of it all my head - until it got out of control.

Great maze design and art (really like the path floor pattern). The future updates in the description sounds good, but regardless congrats on the comp entry!

Nice game! Love the drawing of Cthulhu. Some QoL stuff would be great. Like price of towers and upgrades, maybe some other stats like damage or speed of fire, somewhere on the screen. Also, having brick road and green walls felt a bit weird. maybe the other way around it would felt more natural. And, chanting was nice addition, but it happened a bit too often. Anyway, good job with the game!

The sound design is repetitive, and it lacks some visual feedback. Otherwise, it's nice. The game is easy to understand. Congratulations on completing it!

@zimny11 Thanks for the review and the suggestions. The yellow brick road is a reference to the Wizard of Oz, so it has to be yellow and made of brick.

Nice short game! I managed to summon Cthulhu, but it was getting tense murdering all these people at the end ^^

As others pointed out, a clearer indication of the level of our units and the cost of any action is what's missing the most. But I see you have a nice roadmap, cool!
The graphics could be improved but are OK for a compo game. Overall the game works fine, and your future updates should bring some nice content to it! Congrats!
