Welcome, brave spellcaster, to the SUPER SUMMONBALL ARENA! Are you ready to unleash your magical prowess and summon creatures to dominate the arena? Grab your spellbook, unlock those runes, and let the arcane artistry begin!

In this mystical battleground, your spellbook holds the keys to summoning a legion of creatures. Draw runes on the screen with finesse and precision to bring forth powerful allies to your side. Remember, each rune you master brings a new creature into the fray, ready to do your bidding.

But wait, there's more! This arena isn't just about magical duels; it's about strategy and agility. Each side has three balls waiting to be claimed. Collect two of your opponent's balls, or guide two swift runner creatures to their base, and you'll advance to the next wave of challenges. Victory awaits those who can outwit and outmaneuver their opponents!

Just a word of advice from the magical realm: losing your balls in this arena is not recommended! Keep a close eye on them and protect them at all costs. After all, you wouldn't want to find yourself spellbound by defeat, would you?

So, gather your wits, harness your magical energies, and prepare for a spellbinding experience in the SUPER SUMMONBALL ARENA! May the best spellcaster win!

We didn't enter the graphics competition since we used AI art (combined with editing and a few homemade sprites).

You can download the game at the bottom of the Itch.io page, it works best in fullscreen.

This is pretty wild. I could see this going on steam after a bit more polishing and work :)

Nice game. THe duck didnt seem to move ever. The mushroom guy moved at the start then stopped and didnt move again. Like any new game it took a few tries to get the hang of it. AFter a few attempts i didnt need the spellbook i new what i wanted. Even though i was still considerably slower than the AI. This makes it a game of speed and not strategy. Good game though, i had fun.

I love that you have to draw the spells yourself; it really puts you under a time pressure!

Cool game concept! Sadly, I hardly could get after the first level. I also think a more dynamic music would have matched the atmosphere more.

Very fun! I did notice that if you go to the next page in the spell book, there is no way to go back to the first page.

The idea for drawing out your spells was very nice. But you cannot keep pace with the computer opponent. A little more balance is needed. Overall a very cool idea and game.

in the beginning I was worried I am having this error on the web version ... but the game seems to work ok

tried once and had no idea what I was supposed to do, then went back and tried the tutorial ...
from which I got only the drawing thing, man that is interesting, its really cool to draw your invocations.
I could see this concept as an tablet game drawing real quick and memorizing all types of invocations even ... also this would be really fun as a competitive multiplayer I believe

Really cool concept, had quite some fun with it. Seems to be a bit fast paced for my mouse-drawing... sorry, summoning abilities ;) Great job!

Loved the game! I wasn't very good at it though. I wasn't sure what I should be summoning - a mix of defenders and attackers. I liked the inclusion of a leaderboard and tutorial and the music fit nicely (although it could have been a bit more intense).

I would have liked an option to make the runes visible at all times, and it would have been nice to get some sort of audio clue as to how the game's going (since I'm spending most of the time looking at runes, it's hard to keep track of the balls). Nice work getting this one together!

Interesting concept of strategy and resource management game, but on Wave 5 my hand tired of drawing too much symbols)

I really liked the book, even if it was generated by a neural network)
The disadvantage is that it is very inconvenient to call the drawing panel, and that it blocks the view.
