SUMMonDICE by koro.games

SUMMonDICE is a game that combines the thrill of Dice rolling with the strategy of building valuable combinations.
Roll dice to get the Sum exceeding the Quota. Each Round you should try to collect more valuable combinations. Summoning additional dice will help in this process. Dice can have both useful and harmful modifiers!

Another important feature is the Pin mechanic, which allows players to keep certain dice in place during the next roll. This can be used to secure a valuable combination or to mitigate the risk of a bad roll.

I was a little confused by the pins - it showed I had 7 or so on the left, but only 3 were available to pin dice. The different types of dice were a bit confusing too - you mentioned that some had negative effects, but I had trouble figuring out what any of them did (some tooltips or something in the "?" popup would have helped). Looking forward to playing more if you decide to extend it!
Instantly saw the Balatro-like quality, and was concerned I'd end up playing this for way more time than I had.. Mission accomplished, I've just spent over 30 minutes playing this! Well done!
This sometimes feels more like an endless/continuous version of Balatro, and that's a great thing!
The dice all have a great 'feel' to them with the physics and the soft-felt sound of the impact. Feels very well put-together!
Love the end-screen with a callout to follow the project, really clever touch!
Audio, Graphics and Gameplay, are amazing - i have to ask, but did you really compose the background music during the 48 hours? It sounds really great!
Overall well done, one of the greater entries for LD55 i've seen so far, good job! :D
Thank you guys for your kind words and support! Your comments **summon** in me the desire to make a full version of this game, which could be better?
At the end of the workday my plan is to play your submissions!
Also, it's really hard to read the combos we do, maybe you could display them for a longer time and maybe on the right side of the screen (like replacing the shop when you display the combos).
Overall, really good entry, had fun.
PS: music is banger !
@tyrannas the pin slots work, but you have to unpin a dice to use the new ones... I assume it's a glitch ;)
ps- my poor eyes seem to have issues looking at rbg, vhs, etc effects, so that unfortunately stops me from prolonged play. but that doesn't affect my rating ;)
Thanks for the review and your playing! It's nice that you liked the idea of figuring out the purpose of the dice - I was starting to think that it was more of a disadvantage.
I'm SORRY about your eyeache!!! Just uploaded an option to turn effects off...
i got a blackscreen on my 3rd run i don't know why, but the game was still running for some reason
good game !
The game was awesome, I greatly liked the visuals and really liked the UI. I like the idea of pinning the dice to save their amount, and I really liked the the shop and it's items.
Really nice graphics too, loved it.
I think with some balancing and clearer feedback on what the summoned dice do, this could be a great game!!
How did you implement the dice faces, by determining vector direction?
Good job!
