Wow, what a cool little game.
You art is SO beautiful, I love it.
The music also sets the mood.
Gameplay wise, mixing obstacles and rhythm inputs works very well.
Well done !

Good game, would love to see some more obstacles and distractions in the running section. Would also be nice to be able to use the WASD keys instead of the arrow keys. Otherwise, I enjoyed the graphics and the music was well synced with the lights which i liked.

I couldn't load the game on itch. I don't know if it's my computer but honestly the game looked great. The concept and the little story looked so appealing. I wish I could have played.

@st00nsa Maybe my RNG is being mean to me XD

@st00nsa I was actually able to download the mac version and play it. I would suggest making it a bit easier to jump over the rocks. I could hardly get past them and the timing had to be perfect. I didn't even have the time to properly try the main mechanic (it seemed really cool). So maybe making the character jump a bit more would help. Great game anyway!

I had a little trouble jumping over the rocks (maybe the collision box was a little too big?) but after that, the game was pretty cool and cute to play! The graphic style is very pleasant to look at and fits well with the proposed universe (it reminds me of a kind of children's novel, which fits well with the story of your game and with the cult theme (don't take it the wrong way, it's really a compliment) ).
PS: the little creatures are ADORABLE, I want the same as plushes xd

I love the combination of jumping and performing the ritual at the same time. In the end I only looked at the lanterns and just reacted to the obstacles based on their movement. Cool game. At first I did not expect to instantly die from a single rock :D

Lovely art, and the sound design is good! Also I love the "cultist running late to the big summoning" concept! Unfortunately timed jumping and rhythm games are two genres that I am terrible at separately, let alone mashed together, so the gameplay isn't for me at all. Game looks really well put together though. Great work!

@st00nsa Just played the game, enjoyed it! Really dig the sounds for it too!! dark, omen cult like. Gameplay was good as well, although found it to be a little too easy especially when the symbols go off screen. Ended up just mashing until was the right one xD. Overall enjoyable experience!

I like that u need to do summoning & obstacles avoiding at the same time. I wish jumping over was a bit easier, but I managed to summon 3 creatures before dying))
Sfx in the cutscene are adorable)

Great job introducing the dance moves and story at the end, it is charming. The running section was too difficult for me though, maybe with a 3rd or 4th jump or the ability to move forward or backward or having health would help make the game more forgiving.

Also I can listen to the game while its out of focus without having to be good at it, nice tunes. The bass drum is probably there to help with the timing? The drumroll finish made me smile too.

@nbumgardner Triple jump or quarto jump it's interesting conceptions, we need to experiment with them.

You are totally right about the bass drum. The arrows mechanic timing is connected to bass drum hit.

Thanks for your kind words, it was nice to hear from a fellow composer.

Thank you guys for kind words! Interesting that opinions on difficulty differ quite a lot:) We were actually having a small argument on how difficult the game should be and decided to make obstacles a bit more forgiving and the run start a bit shorter :) Also it seems like it's a bit more difficult on bigger screens, will try to deal with that in next prototypes.

The controls are too weird, hard to play. But as I realized, the main character is a cat, so 8/10

I win, humanity is no more! Also nice last-minute final screen, I see you, fellow Godoter :D

Thank you for the game! Just needs a tiny change of floor+obstacles moving twice as fast to make everything better (everybody already mentioned super tight jump).

Graphics are very good, and music is essentially what made me restart try to beat the game in the first place :)

This was pretty cool! The combination of rhythm and runner turned out to be quite fun. Feels like a nice challenge to split your focus between the two :smile_cat:

I also quite liked the music and art. Everything looked and sounded great!

Biggest issue I think I had was when a rock and hole spawned right next to each other, making it impossible to clear (or so i assume...)

But overall it was quite fun, great job!

The presentation is what sticks out the most here. The art is really good and I think the idea of combining the summoning theme with a small rythm game is pretty neat.

My biggest problems is with the rocks like many have pointed out, but I was able to finish the game, I just had to mage some really tight jumps. With some polish this could be a lot more fun
Pretty good entry, liked the art a lot!

Cute little game, I liked the rhythm game aspect of it. I, like some people in the comments, had troubles with the rocks, until I realized you can double jump over them. For some reason that fact just goes away from your brain after the tutorial haha. Maybe there has to be a big shining sigh YOU CAN DOUBLE JUMP somewhere.
I enjoyed the audio and the graphics, the soundtrack was really nice! Well done.

Great sound and art, the jumping over rocks feels a little unforgiving to me, kept losing immediately even when using a double jump. Feels like it could start a bit easier and ramp up to this difficulty maybe

Good implementation.

Sometimes when I jump over a stone. The game still ends in a loss, is that how it should be?

Great art and music! But it's very hard to jump over rocks. Maybe I'm doing something wrong?
