Demonic Panic by Guilloteam

This game was made as part of the Ludum Dare 55, which theme was: "Summoning".
In this game, you summon demons to fight endless waves of biblical-ish agents.
CONTROLS AND GAMEPLAY
You leave a blood trail as you move
(W-A-S-D | Z-Q-S-D | Arrows)
Draw loops around enemies' souls to summon a demon.
Merge an existing demon with souls, or with another demon, by drawing a loop around them. It will make your demon level up!
Grab the blood goblets to expand your trail.
Survive as long as possible!

Incredibly game as always. The feeling when you make a huge circle and every soul gather into that big boss demon, sooooooooooo good!!
Graphics are on point, fun is top-notch, and music is very :ok_hand:
Balancing is very nice too, at first I thought "hey, just wait for a longer trail and I can cheese that", but it turns out that you have to keep a balance between not too many weak one, and not too few demons in total. Death by being overwhelmed after greedly focusing on 1 single demon felt... rightfully punishing :joy:

Not sure why there are two tutorials. Also, souls and chalices can spawn out of bounds, and the blood trail resetting when you pick up a chalice feels weird and emergency-bugfixish. All-in-all, just polish issues really. Cool stuff!

great game as always! would be nice if theres shadow where the enemies is dropping cuz i lost a couple times when they dropped on me lmao

Only thing I might want is to get better feedback when being close to death, because it sometimes comes unexpected.
Also it is nice to see your team making great games almost every jam. I remember your Super Bario Bros and Count Down Dracula. Looking forward to what will you cook next time :heart:

All of the visuals were very smooth and satisfying. The audio was engaging, although I felt something was missing. I felt a little disassociated, and I think that was because the player character had no audio. It felt like everything was happening around me, but not to me. Does that make sense?
Otherwise, this was a really satisfying gameplay! I would experiment with faster player move speed (or powerups), which might increase the pace of the game even more.
