Summoner: The Greatest Wizard by Eric Schmiel
A point and click adventure game without the pointing and clicking. Made in PICO-8. Technically done within the compo requirements but I didn't bother uploading that night.
I just got the bones for an adventure game in place and just fell short of getting any real content in. When I stopped, I was messing with some jankyness in the inventory system.
z to interact, x to access your inventory or cancel. You should be able to examine the tv guide and the apple.
Press z to start the game. Pico-8 calls that the O button for some reason.

Thank you very much for your kind comments!
I decided to keep working on it after the compo period and I think I'm going to try to get a version together for a LDJam Extra submission. I already put a ton of work into the game this week, rewriting the codebase in a cleaner way and adding a bunch of polish, though it might wind up increasing the scope a bit too much . I got an outline for the puzzles and plot together and would love to get the chance to make a bunch 32x32 and 64x64 animated character portraits and item detail shots for it.
Hope ya'll check out the Extra version when I put it out down the road

Also let me know if you can guess what show and episode is being referenced in that dialogue :joy:
I'd like to check out the extra version. Tag me when you publish it.
