Gameplays are well executed and bring back nostalgia. Thank you for your entry!
It's a really good game ! I love the overall idea and the art style/music/gameplay is well made
Congratulation !
Love the horror elements it suits the gameplay so well.
Sound track is tidy and the graphics are great. Very polished altogether!
I kept accidentally clicking back to the menu in some of the mini games (thinking I should be pressing C instead of X for example).
btw my cat is just like this irl
The various mini game were also really smooth, good job ! It feel like your game scope was perfectly managed.
However I have to agree with the other, the spooky part felt a little bit weird compared to the mood of everything else
Awesome game, very well polished and lovely cute (?) graphics.
For some reason, I kept trying to press the little joystick under the creatures on the main screen, instead of the buttons below it…
It's nice to push some horror elements but I didn't really understand what happens, it would have helped the ambiance to let the game settle for a bit before introducing the jumpscares, and it would require more polish on these parts. Overall that's a fun idea
One of my favourite submissions so far! :D
It was very exciting, the idea is fantastic, the execution is perfect!
A ducking feature in the "jump game" would be nice as in "T-Rex Dinosaur Game" from Google Chrome.
My favorite game was the "audio game". Good job and keep it up! :)
-the second animal died. Left the remaining creature unfed after for a while, but nothing happened. Is there supposed to be an ending beyond just having one animal left?
@kobato-games Yes. Once there is one pet left, game ends when you reach a certain score with the remaining pet.
Hahaha very endearing game, great cohesion, very unique and creative as well. It also gave me a bit of nostalgia, very well done!
@sofia-miglan What were those rumors?
After reading the description on itch.io I was expecting some twist, and even knowing that it still felt disquieting when it first happened.
My only nitpick might be that it finished too quickly, but then again, you made 3 mini-games on top of the wrapping tamagotchi-like and the whole package was solid. That's more than enough for 3 days.
Amazing job!

@roroto-sic That's a great score! I guess I didn't score higher than 15 there.
I looove the whole graphics part, like, it is awesome, it gives the intended vibe, yet the scary moments are scary nontheless (and even might i say makes it all more scary)
the minigames are fun and i like how it is different for each one
sometimes i accidentally went from minigame cause of my fat fingers, infortunatelly, but thats prolly my skill issue
i just love that the cat looks disapointed when you pick not him, (such a pathetic little miau miau jOKING JOKING, he really is scary when he needs to be, thats awesome my dude)
Music is chosen thoughtfully, even if it is prolly not yours (since you opted out of music raiting), but it sets the mood perfictly and does its job
i can probably guess that you got inspo from doki doki and maybi kinitopet and those are good games to take inspo from
You got yourself a perfect original little game which i really liked playing. If you polish it up more i can see myself playing it on itch even if we were not in the same jar of jam together (:
Lil too short for full release, but very solid for a jam!
With all the love my silly heart can provide,
- Cup
I wonder if there's more than one ending, but I assume not haha
@aviv-levy Yes, that's a bug I noticed, too. And no, the game only has one ending.
Man this gave me a nice cocktail of nostalgia mixed with oh shit hahaha
- the bug during the notes minigame (for a moment I got confused as to why I had failed it)
- I wish it was a bit longer to lower our guard and slowly tease that there's something "wrong" going on (but on the other hand this is like 4 games in one, it was probably a lot to make during a weekend already)
Anyway, I liked it for what it is :)
PS: I came from the post-mortem, and... I find it weird that people missed the "Z X C" prompt at the bottom of the game - I wonder if, were the letters written directly on the buttons or near them as label, people would be less or more prone to miss it.
@wendel-scardua Yes, I'm aware of that bug. One of my post-jam plans is to fix it.
Why did they miss the prompt? I think the blinking logo was distracting and maybe the prompt should be somewhere out of the Tamagotchi screen.
MOOD terror wasn't very scary, but it was enough.
It made me miss the days of Tamagotchis. My brothers loved them.
It was very well done.
Congratulations!
Also, kitty... You can't ask me for a high score and cover 90% of my screen! Come on! xD
@cataclysmicknight We will release a post-jam version with extra content.
the horror element was also nicely done, I didn't find it particularly scary but it's still a cool touch nonetheless, it kind of reminds me of some other games like Pony Island
really good entry

@tigerj
Thank you for the feature! Yeah, personalizing the pets would feel increase the effect when the pets die. As for the jumpscare, I personally dislike sudden and loud jumpscares, and I read there are other horror game players who share this dislike. It was the reason I especially worked on fading in sprite and sound effect there.
