Controls: Left/Right Arrows to move. X to interact.

Talk with NPCs.

If you manage to get the text "Blessed are you, who has not seen, and yet, has believed. Let us go now.", then you got the good ending.

If you manage to get the text "Guards! Seize him!", then you got the bad ending.

I think too melancholic, but actually nice narrator job.

Nice, I got the good ending first try! Cool little narrative story concept. Would've been cool to go inside the buildings/doors that you walk past and have some more characters to interact with to further push the question of whether you should advocate leaving the depths or not.

A settings screen is always appreciated even if it does not belong fully in a web build. The music is nice and calming, maybe a bit melancholic. Cute simple tile based art.
Story is nice, wish we could go into other environments it felt like it was needed. I feel like the textbox text should appear a bit quicker or have an option to insta-complete the animation.

Talking to people multiple times repeats text instead of a shortened version, some are long so that bugged me a bit. Also textboxes do not disappear if you move far away from the NPCs, would have been a nice touch.

Overall a cute entry, great work!

Nice instructions, just one thing, how do you click New Game after full screen enabled in the web version?

Got me couple of tries to get it running properly (had to swicth browser), trying to exit the options menu was a first boss. (reading instructions is hard)

The gameplay is somewhat missing but what it lacks in gameplay it really shines on its mood and narrative. It really captures this mystical feeling world that what beyond this place. The music enhances it really well.

Since interaction is limited to only talking to npc it was little annoyiong to hear same prompt again without ability of skipping.

I would really wanted to see more if this world :)

Thats a really curious entry. I really liked the music, the small touch of the high hat in the drums is so delicate and brings a lot of mood to the overall sequence. Is a very atmospheric game, and the text also reflects this a lot! :)

I wish there was a little bit more of interaction, tho. But the sense of place and atmosphere was really there! I think that for sure there is more to be shown of those people and this place, really interesting idea! keep up the good work! :)

@gsoutz Once you have enabled Full Screen in the Options, exit the Options with Left Shift and either click on New Game or press space while it is focused.

This was a very unexpected interpretation of the theme! Simple gameplay, but you managed to build a nice atmosphere. Only the ending came a bit too abrupt

This is interesting and unique! The art and music together creates a nice ambience.
I wish you could skip text - audio feedback with text interaction would be nice too, especially in such a text-driven game.
It needs a bit more complexity - the walking back and forth gets tedious, and I'd love to enter buildings, jump to find people in different places, etc.

Nice job!

Got the good ending. An ending screen would have helped me figure that out more quickly ;-)

Liked the narration.

This game was very simple, but still gave the impression of a living world around it. I also think the message of the game was fitting :) I think a bit more work to the ending could have helped. An end screen telling me what happened after could have felt much more satisfying I think.

That said, well done! I liked the little world you built here :)

The X key stops working after a few conversations so I couldn't really play. Tried 4-5 times and it stopped working after different number of conversations. EDIT: Oh lol, I guess that was the end of the game.

Nice narrative game, I liked the design of the guards/castle area. Would have been nice to be able to interact with other things like doors or items
