I felt my character's strength improve over time. There's a challenge to survive as long as possible. It's a good, addictive game.

The game seems quite polished. But I'm not used to play survivor games so it seems a little hard for me.
The avatar is adorable.

I think if the hint of upgrading equipments was more bold will help a lot. When my first time trying, I'm so focused on enemy that didn't noticed that.

@gwhyang Thanks for playing! When I was making the game, it felt too easy to me, so I decided to make it harder at the end. I really appreciate your feedback.

I loved the collection feature! And the music was awesome - really added to the overall atmosphere. I lost track of how many times I replayed it

Pretty cool!! Took some time to figure out what each drone did or when I could buy them. I think the difficulty is spot on, felt like if I made a mistake at any moment it would be over, the life bar was always on the edge.
Oh and nice music as well ^^

“Wow, the game’s music is absolutely fantastic. The gameplay is also a pleasant surprise, with new enemy variations appearing every minute. Really awesome! Thank you for the experience and best of luck with your development!

Nice and hardcore gameplay, good minimalist art, everything comes together well. Excellent music. And all of this is made in my favorite GameMaker.

Nice game! I like the idea of collecting drones around the player and the gameplay feels good with the atmospheric vibe.
Just one small suggestion: I think the game would feel smoother if the fallen scrap was collected automatically when entering a certain range, instead of requiring a click.

A web version! Bless your heart. The orange triangle was kicking my butt... Anyway, sound effects were nice, they made me a little less sad about my lose

I love the art style. Looks great. Such a great submission. I love seeing fellow gamemaker studio submissions. Read your blog, so nice to see people submitting there first playable games. You certainly nailed the "Fun Gameplay" you were going for. Keep up the good work

Great work for your first entry! Gameplay was fun, music was bumpin, art was cute (wish there was more of it!). Looking forward to seeing you again in future LD jams :D

The geometry kind of design looks good, drones looks cool, if everything trends that way it could be even better, font is a bit small though, and is not moving that handy, but the drones looks cool, nice top down shooter.

Very engaging gameplay, love the music and SFX. One thing I personally would like is keeps firing when holding LMB but I'd understand if it's by design.

The background sets the whole vibe, its very cool! I got annoyed a lot by range enemies attack sounds, and it would be nice to see cost of items i buy, but its really impressive result!

I always love when games have the little avatar of your guy in the top left. Adds so much.

Also I haven't seen anyone use that clouds overlay trick in 15 years, it still looks great.

Very fun, Vlambeer-esque shooter

Game changer when I realized shift makes you go faster! I thought it was sometimes hard to tell what each of the buttons do. Or maybe I was just bad at the game because I couldn't stay alive long enough to figure it out! Played a bunch of it though!

Very fun and addictive gameplay. I kept trying longer than I expected! I only ever managed to get a few drones and couldn't quite figure out their behavior, but I had a lot of fun. Nice work!

It feels pretty good to play, but the insufficient UI prompts and other issues make the game rather difficult. The drone upgrade prompts are too subtle, especially for the first two types. Additionally, there is a lack of explanation about the drones, making it unclear what some drones are used for after purchase and how they attack, which is confusing when starting the game. Regarding difficulty, enemy spawning seems strange, as enemies often appear right in front of me and immediately deal damage, and if this happens repeatedly, I can hardly survive. Moreover, the player's hitbox is much larger than it appears, causing many attacks that seem avoidable to still hit me. If these issues were fixed, I think playing the game would be much more enjoyable.

@umc049 Thanks a lot for the detailed feedback! I really appreciate you taking the time to write it. I’m planning to release a post-jam version where I’ll fix these issues and polish things up. I originally wanted to add better UI hints and clearer drone explanations, but I ran out of time during the jam.

Very nice feel - movement and collection feels really smooth, and I like that the player slows down during collection, making it feel like a mechanic rather than a feature.

Ah, it seems my teammates have played it before me. It's okay for me! It's just that my right-click causes some automatic browser actions (like suddenly scrolling down the page), which makes me unable to operate properly at critical moments.

Of course, switching to full screen solved the problem, but I'm just curious if there are no other items after launch? Is my circle just collecting things like iron scraps from the enemies?

Challenging yet totally immersive—had a great time. The rough spots have already been called out, so I’ll just say: loved it.

Hey, this was a great game to play! I really liked the aspect of adding the small drones that would help you, but almost missed that. Maybe it would make sense to communicate this part more clearly to the player - nonetheless, I had a lot of fun!

I was wondering, is there any downside of keeping right mouse pressed always collect? would add some depth if collecting is also something you have to decide when to do.

Would help if upgrading / adding drones would be with some shortcut or some pause screen, since you otherwise have to move your mouse away from the enemies...

Nice entry!

@stefan-b Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, holding right-click slows you down while collecting metal. I also wanted to add a pause menu for upgrades but unfortunately ran out of time

Made it past 25 minutes, to the point where I was absolutely murdering everything on sight

@kallico 25 minutes is really impressive! Thanks for coming back to my game, it means a lot that I could make something people want to return to :)
I’m planning a post-jam version and would love to hear if you have any ideas on what could make it even more fun to play

I wonder if you could play for so long that enemies would not be able to kill you even if you went afk. Surviving for 10 minutes felt quite easy after leveling up heal, aimable burst and auto-gun but still required manual shooting and avoiding, and prices went up quite high which is nice

Cool shoot'em up with a nice retro vibe. The main idea is clever and the execution is well done. The controls work well as expected, even if I would like to play something more frenetic - like the background track. I think that it's not a good thing that the squares appear spontaneously on screen. It could be better that they come from out of the borders. Just my opinion. Good game ++

Fun to play! I had a good time with this one :)

The buttons on the left-bottom corner did not really make sense to me, until I figured out it created little moons around the player. (i went in blind)
The music is very well done

Congratz on your first LudumDare entry! I see that you've got your minimal of 20 ratings already, that's awesome!

this is great! there's lots of neat ideas here, i like that collecting pickups requires an intentional input from the player, and that doing so has other consequences (like also sucking in enemies). I couldn't play for very long because of the constant clicking, i would have really appreciated being able to hold to fire automatically. otherwise i think the game is fun and works well. nice work!
