Light Speed Snake by davesoft
Snake, but with a twist. Rather than going Up, Down, Left and Right you move diagonally and use the 2 buttons to flip Horizontal or flip Vertical.
H and V on the keyboard do the same flip, also you could tab between the 2 buttons and press Space to activate them. Make the window larger to zoom in.
The diagonal movement gives an interesting side effect, only a keen-eyed player will deduce why some food and snakes look lighter than others.
Collect the green food to grow larger and survive as long as you can. Food and competition will be added regularly, to keep things interesting.
After you die your score can be uploaded to a free Buddy scoreboard tracker, and I'll update this post with any extreme scores I see :)
Whether you upload a score or not the game will continue adding food and snakes after death, until you press the restart button at the top left, or close the program.
Due to comments so far, I've halved the speed....

Top scorer is STILL (cmon people):

good luck in your game
Like the game..
Played it still (dont trust the antivirus programs!).
I had hard time figuring out how to play the game, my snake always turned wrong way (doh!)
Nice concept for two buttons!
having the music open in my browser meant that it wasn't on loop, and I couldn't be bothered to restart it.
Significant bug: Difficulty doesn't reset on restart; the speed you had continues on into the next game.
I'll look into that bug, shouldn't be hard to fix.

I got 3763 I think and am pretty proud of that score :)
I like the music too but wished it was embedded in the game and would repeat. Maybe adding a slower snake to start out with to get the hang of it would make it easier to start.
Converted to explicit 32bit by request of Knowledge (who made an awesome arduino game!)
Would have been nice to see where I ranked on the leaderboards but oh well :)

Folk seem to either get 1000-1500ish or go nuts and play several times till they get 30000ish! Then there's a couple of nutters with 5000+ :D
