Game looks great but I'm a bit unsure what to do after the minefield

@xwilarg thx for you message :)

Tip: look carefully the entire mined area using antenna vision to find a passage. Look carefully; mines may not always be detected, move the camera to see them.

Great  I wish I'd had this game on my Game Boy when I was a kid.

There's a concept worth exploring.

A very interesting concept! I enjoyed following the signals. For some reason, after the mines area, once I progressed a lot, I couldn’t move anymore. But great job! I enjoyed it!

Very cool concepts, and they fit the jam theme perfectly. Unfortunately, because of bugs and graphical artifacts, I couldn’t get past the mines.

That was a fun short game. I liked the minefield puzzle for how I checked the path, memorized it, then walked it. The pixel art and music are well done too.

Great game, and very impressive UI, people who can make this stuffin just two days and make it compattible with retro hardware on top of it are insane. Beat the whole thing.Waiting for your Kickstarter now pal, goodlucky with the mummy game 07

Looks great and it was nice to play! Took me a sec to realise I needed to switch between views to pass the mines, but then it clicked. Great stuff, and nice narrative pulling you along. I hope some jammers get to play it on game boy!

Great game! Deep atmosphere in a simple pixel game.

Cool game! :D I made it to the end, but I had to use the spoiled clue to the minefield puzzle, as I didn't understand why the path I found didn't match the real-world mine coordinates. Seems like I was off by one vertically

Guess i should keep in mind the mines location with the radar when i go past minefield, but its not working, i keep dying. maybe there is another way? Anyway, like the gameboy graphics.

Cool little puzzle game. And then it hits you that it's made in only 48 hours. I love it.
Wow! The UI is stellar. And the limitations of the Game Boy didn't stop you one bit. I want to praise you for using the tool you knew best, and making such a fun game!!

Congrats!!

Love the retro art style and square screen Gameboy aesthetic of this. The gameplay was intuitive and fits the theme well. Thought this was a jam game at first. Very impressive for a compo entry.

Cool retro graphics! I love the atmosphere!
Unfortunately, after the plane, I went right and the game brokes :(

Awesome submission! I didn't even know it was possible to put together a real gameboy game in such a short amount of time. Unfortunately I ran into the same issue as @aniretti but otherwise, great submission!

Very cool! The minefield was a good amount of difficulty. I wasn't sure what to do at first, had to do some experimenting, my initial ideas didn't pan out, and then I figured it out. Just right.

Nice work drawing right from the theme and running with it. The retro vibe is really well executed. Cool entry!

Nice work, I love it that you shipped an actual Gameboy ROM and wrapped it in a WASM emulator on the web. The gameplay is rather simple; I wish there were more puzzles and challenges like the minefield. Right now the game feels like just the first chapter of something larger. I dig the way map coordinates animate with the player's movement.

Very nice! I like this interpretation of the theme, and the radar phases adds a bit of variation to the base mechanic. I feel like this could be a good base to iterate upon, maybe with other obstacles/interactive objects ?
Really cool entry, and bonus point for making a GB rom!

The gameboy mood is cool and the tiny sound effects definitely participate to it :)
A bit tedious on the gameplay, but nice entry!

I love the whole vibe of this game! The art style, color palette, and sound design are all wonderful and nostalgic. I did somehow break the game after a while, but it was a fun experience overall

Really vibed with the GameBoy feel — that's totally my thing. I was fully intending to beat the game, even installed SameBoy, but got stuck partway through. Maybe I'm just not smart enough, or something's actually bugged. I recorded a video.

@avhatar Thank you so much for your dedication and the video!

It's not a bug, but a lack of clarity on my part. I haven't had time to do any playtests when COMPO.

You correctly identified the decoy using the antenna's vision (the path in F-H2 was actually mined). You need to continue scanning the map with the antenna's vision to find another path (the correct one this time). Once you find it, exit antenna vision and follow that path.

Sorry for the lack of clarity.

This was a fun entry, and impressive to make a gameboy game in the compo. One problem I ran into was if you pressed B while moving the game would break in strange ways that made the graphics stop displaying and then it was quite hard to play. Still, I was able to slow down and beat the game by not scanning while moving, so it kind felt like I was just pushing my equipment too hard or something :) Nice work

Cool game, graphics were fitting to the mood of the game, took me a second to understand how to use the enemy radar other than that really intuitive game.
Well done!

Neat little game. The grid got messed up a few times on me, locking the game, seemed to maybe be if I start the radar mid-move, or start moving while the radar was still scanning. As long as I stood still it worked. Mine was frustrating when it seemed like I was following a safe path (height of `N`), but I randomly tried M and it worked out instead ^_^. I made it to the end, yay! Really cool being an actual Gameboy game.

I think it's really cool that it's an actual playable gameboy rom! I was initially confused with the mine field but I did eventually realize that I just have to load it all the maap and see where the gap actually was

I thought the presentation was really strong here considering it's an actual rom and the theme is integrated well

Great game!

There is a lot done with the UI, ambiant, design... everything!

Pixel art is my thing too, so I can only love your take on this one, good job!

Congratulations on making a game all by yourself. That alone deserves my respect.

I'm used to simple games like this since the NES. I liked yours. Especially because it has a complete story. I had some difficulty understanding the mines because they apparently changed places, but maybe that's a limitation of your engine?

Retro rules!
