Hah, really dig the humor in this one. The FMV and point/click style is very charming and reminds me of some of the old Lucas Arts point and click games from back in the day. I did some stuff out of order by pure accident which was kinda confusing (at least until I figured it out). It would be nice if there was some kind of hint system or checklist or something that could tell you that X needs Y to be done first. Additionally, the grassier areas were a bit hard to navigate since there was no map and the camera angle kept rotating so it was hard to keep track mentally. That said, the variety of scenes you implemented was very solid and really helped flesh out the world and I liked how you implemented items to fetch for people/receive from people to progress which added to the immersion. I didn't see a reason why you could drag/drop the items though, and it would have been nice if they grayed out or something once they served their purpose. That said, overall I think this was a pretty solid entry and definitely the most unique I've seen so far! Good job!

Enjoyed this a lot! Really fun style and lots to do and find. It was a bit unclear where I could go and where I was meant to go but I was really impressed with how much was here. I think I got stuck at the end but maybe I just didn't find something I was meant to find, either way this was a quality experience and definitely one of the most memorable games I've played so far this jam

Incredibly memorable entry! Point and click adventures are so rare for game jams, doubly so for FMVs, so imagine my surprise when I found your game! The vibes are astounding, really captures the cheesy low-budget 90s vibe.

@deadroach thank you for the live commentary lp.

You got so close to everything, you were just missing the engineer who was upstairs in the barn and then you would have had all the pieces to beat this iteration of the game.

We appreciate the honest feedback, but we mostly just love seeing people enjoy our schmaltz.

Some things you mentioned (like guidance arrows and labels for items) had been brought up in development, but they couldn’t be focused on as the cutting floor got filled in the final stretch.

@deadroach Thanks for the stream, that was awesome. Yeah a lot of stuff had to get cut as time ran out, including hints and character dialogues interacting with the world, but also quick time events for the cutscenes, which could lead to killing the dude in the barn etc lmao. It was so funny you mentioned that, but it was awesome to see you still get through as much as you did. Appreciate you!

This scene is just too cool! I think this idea is particularly interesting and is a very unique element in the game l've played. However, the guidance could be a bit clearer. Overall, it's a very good game. I look forward to the developers' future works.

Impressive work. I don't know how you managed to film all this and get it into the game in three days time. I guess that explains why some scenes are kind of randomly during the night :D

The game is really unique and funny. I really enjoyed playing it, even though I am not a big point & click fan, just because of the nice live action pieces. I got stuck at some point though and didn't know what to do, saved the girl in the forest and the guy in the basement, the mouse pointer indicated that I could talk to them after that but I couldn't.

AMAZING I love, love, LOVED this game! Its so fun, catchy and super easy to get into, and even tho I struggled with some parts, I was still enjoying myself. There’s something so unique about the art and style of this game that sets it apart from everything else out there. 10/10 I think this my favorite entry so fAR!! :heartbeat:

This was unbelievably cool, from the cutscenes to the anims. Dripping in style and flair. Absolutely job well done on a fantastic and artful piece! My only critique would be the absence of any kind of music, I just feel like a little bit of whimsy would've gone a huge distance. Still though, 5/5 overall experience!

FMV game! Nice job.
Unfortunately the videos did not play for me (linux using proton). I was quite confused before I realised there was supposed to be something there.
