A great idea — combining a familiar genre with a signal loss mechanic!

A lot of fun, except i got stuck in a hole at 915m, right next to a signal so i had full control. stupid extra curvy hills.

Graphics and sounds are really cool, and it feels nice to drive forward. Awesome work on the vehicle suspension! I wish I could try other cars, but the grind for price was a bit too harsh. And I'm not sure if I can affect the outcome of radio-silent track parts at all, is it just gas and pray?

Cool idea, but it feels a bit undercooked in terms of gameplay. Basically, you just hold the right button and hope the car doesn’t flip over or get stuck in a pit. Maybe you could add some extra elements so the player has more agency. For example, like in rally games, you could give hints about the optimal speed on certain sections of the road.

I played a few times and unlocked the second track, but then I ran into a bug where the menu stopped working, so I can’t say how the other cars feel.

Overall, it’s a pleasant game: great visuals and music, the car feels fun to drive, and the suspension is top-notch. Also, having unlockable content like different tracks and cars is an impressive amount of work for Compo. Great job!

The physics on this felt so good!!! The bounciness of the suspension especially. I loved the art and the UI was so polished for a jam.

I understood the mechanic pretty quickly... but I didn't quiet understand what to do about it? Like, my car could only go so fast... so I just felt helpless during the offline bits. It's an interesting idea and the coding felt solid and complete. But I didn't feel like I had enough tools as a player to deal with it. Maybe a boost on a cooldown, so I had to time it right? Or getting enough air to collect signal booster items? Idk. Some way to deal with the disconnection part. That was the main thing lacking for me. That combined with the car being pretty slow, there wasn't a lot of choice. I kept thinking I failed. But adding some additional way for the player to deal with the loss of connection and this could be pretty fun.

So the graphics are great and it's clear to me where your focus was for this game. Driving itself feels nice - wish it had some nice audio to go along with it, it's not an electric car :-) I also found gameplay otherwise severely lacking - this is essentially a walking simulator but you're a car and not much else happens, so that would definitely need to be expanded to keep it interesting. Sorry if this sounds a bit harsh - the visuals are top-notch so the game for sure has that going for it!

Taking controls away from the car felt almost like a non-issue. The car kept coasting in the direction it was going anyways. I did like the fact that you could flip the car and break the antenna off. That was a nice touch!

Graphics had that old-school charm. The engine noise got a little repetitive, having it pitch up or down as you accelerate would help, as well as an audio cue for 'disconnecting' from the radio towers.

Really great polish, and the driving physics were very satisfying! I think this is pretty close to a releasable little mobile game, which is crazy for 48 hours of work. I agree with the comments here saying that you could add a bit more to the gameplay - I was mainly accelerating as hard as I could into the signal deadzones and praying I didn't get stuck :')
