Glory to YSS! by GreenRadiation
We've finally fixed the web build! Well, not quite fix... If you have a problematic browser or a weak computer, it may still lag significantly (but on good computers, it works fine). Unfortunately, the browser doesn't handle deep, murky waters well, and this issue can't be fixed without breaking the mechanics. The Windows build is highly optimized even on weaker devices, so if you're experiencing lag, feel free to switch to it!
Expressing dissatisfaction with the ideal living and working conditions in the YSS is punishable by death (because it's an obvious lie and dissent).
Protect the thoughts and minds of the happy citizens of YSS by listening to Morse code radio messages through your submarine.
Controls: WASD to move, mouse click to interact. Space or Esc to close window. Don't be afraid to crash into walls, the submarine doesn't take damage from collisions.
We have 7 endings in the game! The game is too long to get them all, so you can look at them all at once: 1. Mine ending. Very easy to get. 2. Big Red Button ending. 3. Escape ending. 4. Musical ending.
(victory endings) 5. Falsification ending. 6. Hero of Labor ending. 7. Saint ending.
Hello everyone! In all previous game jams, we've tried to create unique mechanics. But this time, we've also focused on sounds. We decided to add voiceovers to a whole bunch of in-game notifications, including a lengthy tutorial cutscene. Our wonderful @Marynka also created a unique anthem-march for our beautiful state of YSS specifically for our game. And the mechanics turned out quite interesting. We took a lot of inspiration from Iron Lung (thanks to a recent movie visit), but honestly, other than the submarine, there are no other similarities.
As usual, we're attaching the our classical funny devlog. And no, we didn't use any AI for the voice acting, graphics, or music.

P.S. Typical gamejam ;)

P.S. Our game's codename was CringeMarine. I don't know why you need this information. Please forgive us for such nonfancy humor :)

Now, if you'll excuse me, I must listen to the anthem for the 19th time today.
Finally completed the game as the artist hahaha. Saint ending 💪
And the tutorial is really well done, if a bit drawn out. It would have been nice to present such a long story in sections, but overall, it's better than writing on paper.
Good voice acting and humour.
Love the submarine concept, reminds me of one of my own
