This is a pretty fun game. Took me a few goes to get the hang of it but once I did, it really flowed. The simple graphics works really well too. There is an optimal spot to park your ship. So maybe adding more power-ups will encourage more movement and add more risk vs reward. Well done!

First thing I want to mention is game feel. This one is so polished and well-sounding. Enemy killing sound is pure satisfaction. Artstyle is cool.
This game is pretty difficult, so I come up with so strats:
-At first I didn't realise I could move and just stood at one place. It ended up like a good strategy, because moving kills precision.
-Hover your cursor once at enemy is enough to kill it, don't wait until bullet reaches them. Quickly hover once and move on, bullet will do its thing.
-Player collision can block enemies from reaching the tower. It can buy you some time if there is a lot of enemies there.

I feel like it would be cool if game had some boosts/improvements.

I couldn't beat the game yet, but I'm gonna fix that soon! Good job!

Thanks for the feedback!
I agree that it's not immediately clear that you can move a hero.
About improvements... They drop out when more difficult enemies are killed. There are not many improvements and the session time is a maximum of 4 minutes)

TRY TO DEFEND THE RADAR AGAIN, WARRIOR!

Simple yet incredibly fun. The graphics are minimalist without losing any of the charm. My only regret is the lack of content—it would be amazing if some upgrade systems or extra features could be added

Yeah, shoot everything that moves and you don't have to press fire :fist: ! I really like these kind of games (especially with all the puzzle games this edition). It's simple but it is fun, and the hand drawn graphics give it a nice touch. The game feels responsive and fair, which is the most important in these kind of games. Nicely done!

My favorite thing about this game is that its fun - I think during Compo (me included) people tend to focus on the theming too much and forget that a game is supposed to be fun, which yours is! It even has powerups which is great.

A few issues I had with the game:

- The camera is so zoomed in at the beginning just to zoom out to the preferred angle after seeing the first big guy (i think thats what triggers it). I would prefer to just always have it zoomed out like that
- The UI being way off to the side, and no current health on your tower, and no enemy defeated count
- The player ship collision is awkward, i would have loved to get to ram into other ships, and although its not a huge problem since youre firing so fast that your bullets usually kill them, i did have a few weird instances where i was sitting on top of an enemy ship and just colliding with it and nothing was happening

The ship shooting SFX was also not annoying which is really important for a game where you're shooting stuff 10x a second lol. Nice job overall!

Well-designed, though the waves are too overwhelming. I like the raw graphics and the sound effects—they fit together well. I enjoy games with simple controls and well-defined tasks, and this certainly fits the bill. Just wish it was a bit easier!

Short & sweet with an excessive amount of bullets (good), though the enemies get overwhelming pretty fast

I think I went a little overboard with the difficulty(

Although all my friends passed the game with 2-3 attempts...

Has anyone reached the end?

I like the sfx when enemy is dead. Overall, I wish it will be more updates (like attack power), but it's still empressive for the Compo!

The auto fire is a nice design choice. Hitting the enemy was satisfying with the sfx. The game works well but the difficulty balance was off. I guess it will be an easier experience if the player knows what is coming next.

I love the feeling of steadily shooting when you can see how projectiles form "trails". Reminds me Defense of Zion from Matrix Revolution.

I am not the best at bullet hell but I love the simplicity of the concept, it's a nice break from more complicated games, and it feels good to play. It does get pretty intense too, so it's not boring at all.

I love the custom letters you drew for the text in game (like "you lose" etc).

The sounds are sutisfying and not annoying.

Obviously the UI is a bit unpolished / barebones but it's a compo game, and you probably didn't have time to focus on that. But you did very well with the gameplay side of things, in my opinion ^^

I was playing downloaded version - the HTML didn't load for me (might be an issue on my side however, several games from the jam didn't load)

I love how camera pans out, it is a cool effect!

Overall, I enjoyed the game, played it a few times. I am not good enough to beat it though, sorry ^^'

Good game, i played twice two see what happened after, maybe if you choose to leave the planet you should go to another planet and have to fight other ships their.
