About this game:

You’re job hunting, promoting a robot you designed that automates tasks in facilities (like opening doors 🚪, assisting people 🙋, etc.). You receive an offer to automate an underground pub 🍻 and decide to take it. But just as you’re about to start, you realize your robot doesn’t work at all.

Not wanting to lose the job, you choose to handle everything manually from home 🏠, pretending to be the robot. Your job is to run the pub: opening and closing doors 🚪, serving drinks 🍹, and managing the crowd in general 🧑‍🤝‍🧑.

Goal:

The goal is to welcome customers 🤝, serve them drinks 🍹, keep troublesome patrons in check 😤, and make some money along the way. Oh, and I forgot to mention—keep those annoying cops far away. And whatever you do, don’t slam the door in customers’ faces!

Controls 🎮

Q, W, E or central panel - Drinks

Green Buttons on left panel - Open/Close the door

Fast tap on right panel - "Take down" aggresive customers

I really want to play this game! I tried pressing the Q, W, and E keys on my keyboard, but nothing seems to happen and I just hear an error sound. 😭

I really liked it! It was very fun! I would’ve liked some feedback when pressing the buttons to open doors. But overall, it was great!

Beat it on my second try! I liked the three different minigames that you had to keep juggling so the bar would keep bouncing. Fun little game!

Fun game! Wasn't fully sure how the guard system was supposed to work (was pretty shocked when people just randomly... died? and I didn't know what to do. I think I was supposed to spam the button when that happened?). Same with the door, where I "figured it out" at some point but wasn't fully sure if I understood why it worked the way it did. But the graphics were great, the whole thing was a lot of fun, and I did get through the game to the end! Nicely done!

nice graphics, fun music, and great story/humor! The gameplay wasn't entirely intuitive, so a little tutorial would have helped a lot, but overall really nice work!

Fun little management game! I liked the idle animation along with the music, looked like the dudes were dancing.

I completely forgot about the right panel, and just slammed the door in front of all the green shirts to keep them out - not sure if there were negative repercussions of that :sweat_smile:

I saw a "Try again?" when the time ran out, despite serving drinks to every customer that asked, and keeping the bad guys out - not sure if that means I won or lost?

@cody-raethke Ah yes, the "no green shirts allowed" policy: bold, efficient, and deeply questionable. Jokes aside, thanks for the feedback. At the end of each game you can get different texts, depending on the amount of cash earned. Also, there's a secret text 🤫

Cool animations and a nice idea. The doors feel a bit unresponsive, but overall I liked it!

Also simple but very fun game idea! Maybe wished the police and troublesome people would turn up a bit more often, as I think I only got the police once per run and also finished some runs without them having some trouble makers. But still a gread entry! Love the art style and sounds!

Good stuff! I really liked the pixel art, and any game that takes place at the pub is a win for me. My main issue was with dialogue boxes overlapping and I often couldn't see what drink people wanted. Is there any way to get rid of the cops once they arrive?

I like the concept, took me a minute to figure out how to open the door.. but then once its open it just stays open, so seems a bit redundant unless I missed something. Serving the drinks seems maybe a bit too easy, might benefit from having an extra step, like having to hit some keys get the ingredients or something.. one hand for ingredients one for serving.. :shrug: basically a typing game at that point. Sounds and music were nice, and art while simple, was charming enough. Nice entry.

Cool game. Really digged the pixel art and the music. I was bouncing to the music, along with the patrons, really fun. Those rowdy patrons fell asleep right?.. that's why I was guarding them :sweat_smile:. Seriously though, great game and I would love to see where you take this post jam, if you continue working on it. Fantastic job, well done.

@alex-de-la-cour thanks for your feedback. Yes, the dialog boxes do overlap. Maybe an isometric view is the solution haha, who knows. Oh, and to get rid of the cops, try slamming the door in their faces

@wizard yeah hahaha, let's just say those rowdy patrons are 'going to sleep'. We really appreciate your words, and I hope my friend and I can do some post-jam work on it. As long as our boring adult lives allow it :sweat_smile:
