Welcome to Bit-Box

K-Wa was one of the best employees of the Feur™ waste treatment plant. They were proud of their craft, and better at it than anyone. But in their endless chase for profit, the shareholders fired K-Wa, and replaced them with a human. Now is the time to take drastic action.

Gameplay

Navigate the corridors of the factory by programming actions on a punch card. Find the stairway in each level to reach the bottom of the factory, and plant a bomb in its most vulnerable spot !

Nice game! I only had energy to solve level 1 -and that took me quite a while haha.

With puzzle games, it's always worth making the first level stupidly easy. For example I think it would have been enough to just have a small level where you need to walk forward three places, or something. Then you can introduce other elements (like buttons) later.

It could have been cool to have a "sketch" of the level available, on the screen where you input the steps. Not enough to see the dimensions or exact steps, but enough to remind the player what the level looks like.

I agree with everything @sirlich just said. The game is pretty hard to play for me at this state. Very cool concept though. Nice entry!

Cool concept! Pretty satisfying when you manage to setup a large part of the puzzle in one try !
Gameplay sync with music and rythm is always a pleasure
It would be cool to have more way to manage your cards (removing it for exemple).
Bien joué ! :)

The game is just fire! 🔥 How I was vibing to that beat is beyond words.

The start feels a bit confusing because it's not clear what to do at first, but once you get past that, you get totally hooked on the gameplay. Overall, I'd make the first levels super simple for a smoother onboarding.

Thanks for the experience! 🙌

Finished all 6 levels! Memorizing the maps is kinda annoying, but somehow I kept wanting to go just one more run. Really love the punch-card tape aesthetic, and the way the BGM syncs up with the jump rhythm feels super satisfying. Definitely worth playing — thanks to the devs for making this!

I leave the 6th level without planting the bomb, oopsie. But I came back to finish the job, I promise !

Very good game, the musicality of the movement help a lot to find yourself in the sheet rythm. I would have been super cool to have a "self destruct button" to quit the sequence when we know we fucked up the sheet ; but in a game jam, it's a lot to ask.

The only big down point is the lack of music in the intro and outro. It's a bit jarring

Except for that, I have nothing but good to say about this game!

This is a good mechanic, but I'd like a more gradual increase in difficulty. You need to show the location first, and only then set up the action algorithm.

When you finally get all the hole punches right to finish the level is satisfying, seeing your little guy reach further and further :)

The game is great, but a little hard. The music is really well chosen and doesn't get boring.

Well, to see "Fired" from the start, was a bit puzzling. But i liked it. xD Also a very good idea with perfacards. I like the music and overall art. Very nice game!

Quite a flashbang to get fired in the first few seconds of a game, too real xd. Didn't have any issues figuring out what was needed to play but it felt weird that the level is the second part of the process instead of the first. After blindly guessing what the level would be the loop became clear but I would've preferred some sort of a different loop.

awesome concept but i wish the level would be visible before making any steps. Also the visuals are cool
