Twilight Beacon by graebor
Intercept a barrage of radio signals before the beacon is overwhelmed! Prepare to test your focus.

This was a solo project! It's a jam entry because I wanted to use the third day, and I brought in some helper scripts/shaders I had made outside the jam. I also used a chopped up version of a song I had previously made for the music.
Controls are described in the game, but to reiterate: - Arrows + Spacebar: Navigate menus - W/E/S/D/X/C: Hold to select parts of the beacon (different buttons on each difficulty level) - Up/Down: Move the selected part up/down - Left/Right (as prompted): Activate the top of the beacon
I suggest starting with Normal difficulty until you get a feel for it - then see how far you can make it!
The options menu has a fullscreen toggle (even in the web player), but if you have any issues in the browser, there is also a downloadable version on the itch page.

Here was my best score:

The moment I discovered the bonus point mechanic I got totally distracted by it, even if I wasn't bad enough already. But I feel like I am slowly getting better with every playthrough, so I guess it just might be an issue with not having enough practice yet.
I'm glad you decided to make it a Jam game and add the music, it definitely makes the experience much more immersive. And the music slow-down you get on losing feels really appropriate. The sounds of antennae moving felt pretty good as well! Together with a really cool art style it makes for one impressive jam game.
I Really enjoyed the music, it fit the pace of the game perfectly.
Great animations on the interactions. Correctly catching the beams felt awesome.
The whole thing just fits together well. I did a bunch of runs and was gradually getting better. I feel like I will have to check out your other games now.
