I got really scared when I saw the creature crawling on the ceiling. Awesome!

Great themeing. I love the redlight/greenlight take!

I kept having trouble with the controls drifting to the right, but other than that it was great!

It is a known issue that the controls will drift to the right on Firefox. Using a different browser may resolve this issue.

At the start I was wondering what was going to happen as I took my time to move forward, then I turned around and saw the monster! An interesting running game with the red light/green light adding some stress to the run.

Oh my I do have to ruuuun! Well that was a short but really nice game. Seeing that thing come closer the first time had me jump, especially with the soft yet very clear sound of it being a beast. I was somewhat confused at the first maze like thingy, trying to jump inbetween, later realized there was a wall of sorts stopping me from doing so. Nicely done!

It got very real when I saw the creature chasing me. Actual chills :cold_sweat: Fits the theme very well and it's a good, thrilling execution. Well done :)

Good use of sound, and its fun trying to run in time and manage the sprint. The platforming was pretty rough but other than that I had fun! Good job

I liked the teeth so much that I got myself deliberately eaten. that's a nice set of pearly whites there

That thing really scared me the first time
The footsteps sounded very similar to a heartbeat, which added an extra layer of tension and fear to the atmosphere

Yep. I definitely do not handle horror well at all. Great game.

Thank you for the kind words everyone! I've also uploaded an identical build onto itch, since it may run better on there, and you can also fullscreen if you want more immersion :)

Chill horror game that doesn’t overstay its welcome. Great sound design, and the monster is genuinely fun. Awesome game!

The game is cool, but I still don't understand why you can't walk through a red light.

Seeing the monster for the first time certainly made me feel a sinking sense of dread as I played. It was interesting that it moved as I moved and it wasn't just an instant loss for moving on red by mistake, but a slow creeping dread, knowing it would catch me up eventually with every fraction of a mistake. When the parkour came in, that was my downfall (literally ;) ) I found the initial orange light confusing, but quickly realised it was an extra warning for moving whilst jumping. Being in the sand too long is what killed me though, I think the jumping was slightly too jank, and I did give up after falling into the second pit and not knowing how to get out.

Fun idea though and it was a cool twist on the idea, not something I've seen elsewhere. Good work :)

Nice creeping horror, well done ^^ only complaint is the jumps feeling impossible but I'm not the best at platformers so might well just be me

An interesting interpretation of the game "Green light - red light". I liked the atmosphere.

Very tense and great premise! Controls felt great and I like the visuals too, really had me on the edge of my seat.

I really liked the atmopsphere and the color switching visuals,Well done. It does lack some kind of feedback on why you got caught. Also the jumping parts is very hard with the limited sprint and i could just skip it leaving me confused why it's there in the first place.

I was very scared, but I finished your game, very responsive controls, but I didn’t understand what the yellow color in the lantern meant, and the game is very cool and scary, it immediately absorbed itself into the atmosphere

Lots of fun! Though the jump-scare animation seems to have a glitch were you can still walk around and jump while the monster is eating you. Overall good game though!

Great game! I think you nailed the spooky atmosphere. The sound effects were perfect. I just felt it wasn't very clear the running on the red light was bad, I feel some sort of effect to indicate it would have been better. But other than that great horror game!

Really tense and atmospheric, feels a bit like Squid Game with that creeping pressure when you mess up. Super cool idea. Tutorial is very seamless, which is rare for LD, everything just clicks. Movement felt good, but some jumps were a bit rough. Overall really nice game.

This game has awesome horror vibes, visuals and sound design - i really love it, but main feature isn't working well i would say - i tried to run on any signal and it was working just like as i was running only on green light, but i was enjoyed to play that, one of the best game on this jam because i really liked main vibe

Really like the vibe here, nice and minimalist horror. The red light/green light mechanic was very intuitive, only problem I had was the parkour section which seemed a little unnecessarily jank to perform. Overall not bad though!
