cool game, kind of has that outlast look. getting killed actually made me jump to so quite a tense atmosphere! sadly after 3 try's I was never able to escape so ill be trapped forever.

Played on pc, for me worked more like quest than a horror (if I got the idea right), very liked art and movement in the game. Looks nice and polished

I really liked it, even though I’m not a fan of jump scares. The visuals and sound are top-notch.

the game actually jumpscared me, damn! something I would suggest to add is a gamma configuration at the beginning, it was very difficult to see anything at all for me on my monitor, I think it needs to be calibrated to a point where you can barely see it but still see it well (a lot of dark games do this kind of calibration at the beginning).

I'm an absolute wimp, but someone sent me this to play so I felt obliged to finish it. THANK GOODNESS it's short because I don't have the fiscal means to completely replace the contents of my underpants drawer.

The atmosphere is excellent, I played on PC but I can imagine playing this under the covers on my phone and also destroying a perfectly good set of bedding.

It's interesting that the game is trivial if you're just calm and methodical, but the first couple of plays I just bum-rushed through the level with reckless abandon and obviously got murdered quite quickly. When I took my time it was simple!

Anyway, thank you - that was fun!

I absolutely loved this little game. The visual design, limited colors, the graphics assets, vfx, sfx well the whole atmosphere and aesthetics of it. If anything I would have loved seeing the phase II after establishing contact be explored a little more too. And I was somewhat confused about getting full signal without being able to make the call in some places.

As a co-host of a classic first person 90-degree turns dungeon crawler jam, I'm also a bit partial to the game format.

@slippers Hahaha! At fist we also thought that the game is a bit too easy, but when playtesting it on some of our friends and relative we realized that if the player is scared of the monster - it's really easy to get lost and move in wrong direction  Glad you've enjoyed the game!

@local-minimum Thanks for the play through video! I wish there was a webcam so we can see a jumpscare reaction, but I feel like we managed to get you

As for the 4 bar signal not having a dial option - it is quite confusing, but I had a hard time balancing things. When I made it so that you only have 4 bars in one of 4 spots on the map where the connection is good - it was too hard to find it. When I made the 4 bar area bigger it was too easy to find and complete the game without getting jump scared even once. So I decided making it a 3x3 square where you have all 3 bars, but only a center of it is good for dial. It is a bit confusing, but it seemed to me like the best solution.

This horror game actually reminded me of my ex... so the atmosphere is definitely terrifying! Haha. But seriously, the art style is incredible. I'm honestly not sure how you achieved this look—I'd love to read a devlog or a technical breakdown about the shaders and the art pipeline. Amazing work!

that visual effect immediately caught my attention from the screenshots, really cool.

gameplay-wise, i played for about 5–7 minutes and it always ended with a jumpscare. i didn’t manage to get any other outcome. is there actually a different ending, or is the player kind of doomed from the start? 😄

at one point i reached a “wall” and thought i had unlocked a new area, but it seemed to just be the edge of the map, and soon after i got the jumpscare again. after that i stopped playing.

overall though, it’s definitely playable and strong on atmosphere. very blair witch style, and i like that kind of found footage aesthetic, so it was cool to see it in a jam game. aside from the lack of a “good” ending (if there isn’t one), i enjoyed it!

@half-animal-half-beast The aim of the game is to get enough signal to call out for help, a phone icon will appear when you've found the right tile. The bars on the top left of the screen go up and down depending on how close you are to a full signal. Even at full bars you still need to find the exact tile to get the call icon to appear (if you have full bars you are very close so keep wandering that area).

Thanks for checking out the game!

The visuals are cool, but the game lacks content; it takes 1-2 minutes to complete.

Oh, god, the screamer is good. At first I though like "Nah, you can NEVER die here, just look how far this thing is, I'll see it at any point!" and then... YEAH... Great game! Really interesting artstyle! LOVE IT!

Really like the atmosphere! Feels polished, both graphics and sound. So creepy. At first I just wanted to say hi to the forest person, but realized it wasn't a good idea. Managed to make a call in the end though! Fun to play you guys' game as usual :)

(couldn't participate this time :( feels bad to have missed it twice now! third time's the charm, I hope!)

I played this in browser on my phone as recommended and it worked flawlessly! My only complaint is that (to me) it felt like the swipe left/right controls were reversed.

Very simple but cleverly designed game. Great use of sound cues! Great atmosphere, quite tense. After a few attempts I was able to get a signal, but…
