The atmosphere is excellent, I played on PC but I can imagine playing this under the covers on my phone and also destroying a perfectly good set of bedding.
It's interesting that the game is trivial if you're just calm and methodical, but the first couple of plays I just bum-rushed through the level with reckless abandon and obviously got murdered quite quickly. When I took my time it was simple!
Anyway, thank you - that was fun!
As a co-host of a classic first person 90-degree turns dungeon crawler jam, I'm also a bit partial to the game format.

@local-minimum Thanks for the play through video! I wish there was a webcam so we can see a jumpscare reaction, but I feel like we managed to get you
As for the 4 bar signal not having a dial option - it is quite confusing, but I had a hard time balancing things. When I made it so that you only have 4 bars in one of 4 spots on the map where the connection is good - it was too hard to find it. When I made the 4 bar area bigger it was too easy to find and complete the game without getting jump scared even once. So I decided making it a 3x3 square where you have all 3 bars, but only a center of it is good for dial. It is a bit confusing, but it seemed to me like the best solution.
gameplay-wise, i played for about 5–7 minutes and it always ended with a jumpscare. i didn’t manage to get any other outcome. is there actually a different ending, or is the player kind of doomed from the start? 😄
at one point i reached a “wall” and thought i had unlocked a new area, but it seemed to just be the edge of the map, and soon after i got the jumpscare again. after that i stopped playing.
overall though, it’s definitely playable and strong on atmosphere. very blair witch style, and i like that kind of found footage aesthetic, so it was cool to see it in a jam game. aside from the lack of a “good” ending (if there isn’t one), i enjoyed it!
Thanks for checking out the game!
(couldn't participate this time :( feels bad to have missed it twice now! third time's the charm, I hope!)
Really sad that you weren't able to participate again :slight_frown: Let's hope for the next one we all gonna be hot and ready!
And thanks again for checking out our game! It means a lot to see you around every time!
Very simple but cleverly designed game. Great use of sound cues! Great atmosphere, quite tense. After a few attempts I was able to get a signal, but…
Great submission!
