The overall experience was really good. I could always actually see where I needed to go. The sound bites were entertaining. The puzzles were pretty easy, but I still had to think about it.
But Ill try to make sure Ill figure out how to do all that. Thanks for the feedback! :)
What would make it more presentable, however, are screenshots. At least presenting your game to prepare what player can expect when they download or open your game. With that, I have to agree. :)
Now enough with meta. Let's talk about game. After playing it I kinda see why you can't actually place that many screenshots, but I still think that a basic screenshot would be great to have. But even so, I actually liked it. It's a very simple and yet quite interesting. I like that you left 1% of vision, I was able to navigate through the place by seeing the faint silhouette of cubes! I would made it so the popup window would close on Escape but that's just a nitpick.
That's a very great entry and I really liked it. I especially laughed at chef Ramsay, that's my favorite cube. :joy:
P.S. You can also hide the spoiler with prefixing the line with `!>`
!> Like this for example
I just tried uploading a screenshot but It didnt let me?? I assume its because I already published the game.
Anyway yeah the escape is for sure a good idea. I made the interact system in the beginning and didnt think it fully through so definitely improveable! :)
I appreciate your feedback alot! Thanks !!!
It was especially annoying when I was exploring at first thinking I was stuck.
The puzzles were fine, not too hard, also I genuinely thought the colours in that puzzle with the braille would mean something.
The writing in the game was good for a short jam game.
At first I thought it was 2D and couldn't make out what to do at all. Then got the hang of the world and started exploring the boxes.
I wish there was a way to make the question box disappear without moving away: like pressing E again, for example. It lingers for a while which is a bit frustrating. Maybe that was another way to disorient the player, but I think it would be better to be able to close it. I don't have any answers in the beginning, and the window just staying there made me think at first I HAVE to answer right away, which made me go check the hints under the SPOILERS. (That was a Funky Music signal, I stumbled upon it by accident while still thinking the game is 2D xD)
That turned out to hold the answer to the very last box, so I've accidentally speedrun the game (cheated, you can say) :')
The ending is really lovely tho!! Very sweet and encouraging, thank you ^v^/
Overall - very cool concept. I checked out all the boxes anyway ofc. Fits the theme in my opinion, feels unique and original. Good job!!
