I love the Windows 98 style mixed with some scary images—it really brings back memories of those horror movies from the '90s.

The challenge is really entertaining—great job!

love this, super atmospheric and cool.
i initially mistook the computer noises in the background for the "characteristic hiss" of the scanner and spent a while anxiously scanning nothing, but maybe that's part of the intended experience. none of that diminishes the general coolness of the game at all

Ohhh this was weird. Everything was so polished, narrative captivating and i love the absurdity of many anomalies you find. Loved this from start to finish.

That was fantastic, I loved the visuals, old Windows style and images, all of them, the normal ones and the additional scary pictures. The atmosphere of the game in so cool, makes you really invested in the (well written) story. The background noises were good, added to the experience, even though it took me some time to understand which sound I should follow and what is just a background noise, but after that it was easy.
The game is really entertaining and I enjoyed playing it. ♥

Same as @summerfield — the background noise distracted me at the beginning, but not a big deal. I soon learned how to find the signal source and finished the whole experience smoothly. This game really hooked me. The fragmented narrative, the mystery-revealing process, and the unique visuals made a huge impression and felt so immersive. Totally my kind of game. Absolutely love it!

i managed to find a signal after about 5–7 minutes and decode it. after that a window with a note image and beeping appeared, but i closed it.

to be honest, i lost motivation to keep figuring out what to do next or searching for more signals. maybe i missed something.

throughout the game, with this visual style, i kept expecting a jumpscare at some point, which could actually be pretty funny :)

the description on itch sounds promising, but i didn’t dive deeper, sorry!

The setting and narrative of this game is great, I loved uncovering little secrets as we go along. I didn't completely understand everything by the end, but I think I got the general idea. I would love to see this world expanded on.

The Windows 98 retro aesthetic paired with haunting visuals creates an amazing nostalgic horror atmosphere. The ambient sounds and secret-filled storytelling are captivating, and the signal-hunting gameplay fits the theme perfectly. It’s hard to distinguish key audio clues from background noise. Better direction after decoding signals is needed, as unclear goals may make players lose motivation. A uniquely atmospheric and well-designed game. Small improvements to hints and audio cues will greatly smooth the experience. Great and creative work!

I love horror and space, and loneliness and mysterious signals fit perfectly into all of this! It looks great, though perhaps there's a bit more variety in places, but the interweaving of discoveries keeps the narrative pacing good.

Interesting and pretty fun. Really well made. For me it got a bit too long. But overall a good jam game.

I have no idea what’s going on, but I’m loving it. Amazing number of mini-games, the game is very well polished. The only thing is that it's quite difficult to find signals, and I had to move the cursor around the screen at random. All in all, I really enjoyed the game. Well done!

Pretty cool stuff, finding so many little things and little story beats. Only gripe is how hard it can be to find the signal in certain quadrants. Other than that good job!

Crazy stuff, loved the eeriness and the powerlessness of an observer's pov. Cold indifferent vast space and the irrelevant size of a man. The 31st signal I found was the "message to the future". Beautiful❤️

31/31! This is the best game I've played in this jam. You created a creepy and satisfying mechanic with such a small amount of assets! Impressive!

It's a really cool game, but I only got halfway through it. At signal 19, it became difficult for me to stay in dialogue constantly; I'm not much of a fan of novels. Maybe if I could type faster or skip dialogue altogether, it would be better. Overall, this kind of analog horror is cool.

We tried to add something to the game other than just pictures. I'm unfortunately not an expert on the short text inherent in analog horror, but if the game makes the top 500, I might release a remake or a sequel, or maybe even another game in the same verse.

Did you find the dialogue boring to follow, or didn't feel like typing, or what specifically about the dialogue you didn't like?

Wow! I didn't even notice how I finished the whole game. It was so exciting and atmospheric. I even got goosebumps by the end. Great job!

I thought it was fun, I didn't finish though, I was struggling to lock on to the signal in some areas (probably just a lack of patience on my part). I liked the dialog in the game. Loved the old school windows interface and vibe of the game.

Pretty cool game. Definitely had Neon Genesis Evangelion syndrome in that everything had to have abstract names to make things difficult to understand. While the actual gameplay was barebones (the mundane is part of the point), the universe and setting were captivating. The fun was finding cool space pics. Audio designed worked well, the liminal ambient mixed with the crunchy signal ding and keyboard taps.

Backrooms and Interstellar had a baby on Windows 98. Another shift finished. Great job!

Very cool entry and great atmosphere! Loved the storytelling and the overall mood; my only criticism is that finding the right spot (especially at the top level) could sometimes feel a little frustrating

The atmosphere and mystery of this game is great, I loved the vibe. Some of the text messages seemed randomly juvenile, I'm not sure they completely fit with the rest of the game. Also the crunchy sounds made it very confusing at first. But overall, really cool idea and design :)
