made by Xav13RRR for Ludum Dare 59 (JAM)

The city is covered by an invisible resonance field. All machines and modified life forms are locked to fixed bands: Low, Mid, High. Only matching frequency can break their defense. As a cleaner, you scan to identify enemy bands, switch your own frequency to align, and eliminate targets. This is not combat - it is frequency hunting...

WASD / MOVE
SPACE / DASH
LMB / SHOOT
RMB / SCAN
Q / SWITCH BANDS

TARGET: Find the signal stations and destroy them!!

Oh yeeeees, retrowave is back — I've missed it so much! Love your interesting take on the theme. I remember back in my childhood, there was an arcade cabinet in the movie theater, and it had something just like this! Thanks for the nostalgia and the awesome game!

This is sick. The visual identity alone already carries the whole experience.

Amazing project. I told myself I'd just watch for 10 minutes to support it, and suddenly it's 3 AM. It’s a fantastic game, with the only real flaw being that it ruined my sleep schedule (lol).

Definitely stunning game. The first glance at the art style amazed me. I didn't expect the shooting experience to be that good - it got different vfx & shooting/hitting sounds for each band - and that's amazing for a 3-day project. I also noticed the little easter egg at the end - seems it's not fully finished, but plz keep working!

Simply brilliant! I really loved the look of the lasers and the fact that their range varies depending on their type. There's a good balance of speed between the character and the machines : you can beat them, but it requires some effort, and the slow motion integrates well into the gameplay ! Nothing to add gg :)

The top-down perspective, combined with subtle lens distortion and vignette effects, creates a strong sense of immersion. The band-switching mechanic and scan system are also well-paced and thoughtfully designed. Overall, these features show great potential for further expansion and deeper gameplay development.

A brilliant twist on action. The whole city hums with an invisible resonance field—every enemy locked to Low, Mid, or High. You're not just shooting; you're scanning, aligning frequencies, and breaking defenses. It feels less like combat and more like a tense, methodical hunt. Clean, clever, and genuinely unique. Highly recommend this gem.

Really fun to play!

The concept is attractive and works really well, and I liked how quickly I could get into the game. The core mechanic feels solid, and there’s a nice balance between challenge and exploration.

The atmosphere also stood out to me — the visuals and overall vibe make the experience feel cohesive rather than just a collection of mechanics.

Impressive work for this project. Would love to see this expanded further!

It's a cool game, the graphics are wonderful (though unfortunately my laptop can't handle it at all, the game was lagging a lot), nevertheless, I liked the idea and how it felt, the development of the theme is good, overall, great job! :D

cool game! the only downside is that now i probably need a new pair of eyes

but seriously, everything is really well done. the file size was a bit intimidating at first, but the screenshots made me curious, and i’m glad i gave it a try.

good luck!

Art and sounds are so good, but the sounds are too loud. I'd like options for managing them. By the way, this debug popped up at 3rd lvl, maybe it says smth to you.![Screenshot 2026-04-24 132546.png](///raw/0f9/06/z/728f3.png)

@oeuegha Thank you for the suggestions. The debug message appears because the default pool size for ray tracing exceed the allocated VRAM (and as it didn't pop up when I was doing tests on my side, I forgot to adjust it)

Nice graphics style, it looks cool with simple shapes!
Elite enemy at last level was very annoying - it need about 150 hits to be killed, and speed is very high even when damaged. To defeat them I stool in the corner, he made me 1 hit and then stuck in that corner so I could shoot him not receiving damage

@chimpoka Thanks for the suggestion! You're absolutely right about the elite enemy on the last level. We looked into it and found that the spider was assigned the wrong tag, which meant the intended weapon couldn't damage it properly. That’s why it felt like it took ~150 hits. We'll fix this ASAP.

Cool. Just cool.
At first, I was shooting at the spiders indiscriminately, but then I realized there was a message above them when you right-click. I dealt with them pretty easily. After running through the entire location, I didn't understand what I was supposed to do with those towers. I expected to have to fight off waves of spiders, but unfortunately, they quickly ended. I liked the feel of the game and its controls; the colors are perfectly chosen, it adds to the atmosphere.
