Surprisingly tense and spooky! The lighting and music are excellent. I was relieved to find the working radio tower, and the big wave of enemies at the end was a fun way to wrap up the level.

The game freezes for me when I start running around the house

If you find a fix reply to my comment pls. I would love to try again so I can rate it.

simple but fun game. The graphics although simple fit nicely to the theme and give a nice aesthetic to the game. Potentially room for more variation in enemies, it also would of been nice to potentially have reloading etc, to make the game more dynamic. Really liked the idea of the top down view with the flashlight as well.
Good job with the entry!

Visually this game looks great. The art style is cohesive, the animations on the player as well as enemies are well done. The towers and smoke effects look nice. I would enjoy a longer version of this.

@ionax have you tried reloading the page and trying again? I had the same problem the first time it loaded, but after that it worked every time. I am not sure what is causing it so i don't have a fix yet. Thanks!

@drtizzle reloading didn't work for me. But I switched to chrome and it worked.

I really liked how satisfying the shooting felt!

Like the art (especially the enemies x) ) but a little too much shaking.
Othserwise, good job :)

I enjoyed it! Also switched to Chrome and no more freezing. It controls nicely, and I enjoyed the creepy crawly enemies, shooting them felt fun!

I also had to switch to chrome, it froze on firefox and the music kept playing after closing the tab, so I had to restart the entire browser lol

Pretty short and simple, but very nice atmosphere! Very cool vibe. Good job :D

I liked it! It's surprisingly good visually despite seeming to have very few textures. Two things:

- It wasn't obvious to me at the start that I could walk under the radio tower
- I would have liked to be able to click-and-hold the left mouse button to fire continuously rather than spam-clicking.

Loved this game dude, it's not often to see a top down 3d shooter, lol. I love the atmosphere, the design of the critters, and the final countdown. NGL, when I saw the timer, I had super metroid PTSD kick in and immediately ran back to the start. Glad I played a second time to see the last fight. Also the radio towers being so tall was peak as well. Good job :D

Minimalist geometric style—I have to say, it's really charming and quite friendly for someone who's a bit squeamish about little creatures. The ability to hold down continuous fire is also very kind to my mouse. And the top-down view very kind to my eyes. Overall, well done!

Very nice visual! I immersed myself in the game and had a great time! The controls and shooting are enjoyable. It's simple and tasteful, but it doesn't offer much of a challenge.

The visuals were spectacular, and the atmosphere created a very interesting experience. It's a pity that the movie is short. The game is good

Right off the bat, shooting feels amazing! I played the game multiple times while spamming the mouse button as much as possible xD Considering this, I can see you leaning more into polishing the mechanics and adding some gore; turning it into a top-down Doom kind of a chaos with more weapon/enemy types.

Also in the beginning while moving through the narrow path, the top-down view gets blocked off by the radio-tower and the cliffs; and the atmosphere gets really claustrophobic. This initially made me expect a slow paced resource management game with a tense atmosphere, and I can see the game evolving in this direction too.

Regardless, this is an amazing prototype that reminded me of an old game called Alien Shooter, not sure if you're familiar with it :D Yes the game is short, and does not try to do much; but what it does, it feels right: which are the shooting and the atmosphere.

The graphics and audio are amazing! The game feels very immersive, and the shooting feels very nice. I think something like a reloading system would be nice, so there is more tension when killing the enemies and you can't just spam bullets. I also really liked having to wait for the pickup after reaching the tower, instead of just ending the game.

@whateverdat thanks for the detailed review! All your suggestions make a lot of sense, and it makes me want to work more on the game haha.

I did not know Alien Shooter, but I looked it up and it looks awesome! Exactly the gameplay that I like.
I've also heard that my game reminded them of Dead Nation or Teleglitch, and I think Alien Shooter is a nice addition to the list :)

Atmospheric and easy to comprehend. My kind of game  Pretty cool idea. I wonder if it would be better if it was even darker or if that would just be frustrating?

I liked it. The game is short, but everything is there: the shooting feels good, and the visuals are pleasant. It makes me want a bit more variety, in enemies and maybe in weapons too. Overall, great work!

This was short, simple and sweet!

I really wish I didn't have to left-click for every bullet shot, press and hold would have been easier on my fingers.

There was an issue where a couple of the bugs got stuck on the walls. (see picture below)

Loved the atmosphere and how you made good use of simple geometry though.

It was entertaining! I would have liked it to be more related to the theme. Still, it’s well polished!

Cleanly done, no frills, but it gets the job done. I really missed having a second weapon to switch between, and a couple more enemy types — that would've made it really great.

Very slick, enjoyed my short but sweet time with this one. Really like the atmospheric lighting and the ominous feeling the game creates. I know there are plenty of gameplay/content changes you could make with more time but I think a quick win would have been a little bit more narrative to help tie to the theme / invest us a bit more. Really well done, thanks for making!

The gameplay’s maybe a little too straightforward but I absolutely love the vibe—the visuals and music create some terrific atmosphere. Nice work!

The small enemies are obviously sot23-6, but what package type the larger ones are?

The mood was on point! I particularly appreciated the camera movement going a bit further when looking at a specific direction, would have prefered if I could simply keep the mouse click pressed, but overall great entry :)

Short but very nice game! You managed to create a great mood with the dark graphics and the music. The 30 seconds timer at the end was a nice way to end the game
