Love your wierdly cute graphics! Some level design is good but I think it would be better with some natural toturial in the first 1 or 2 levels.

Ì like the handdrawn character. I had a bit trouble timing the jump but managed sometimes. Good entry.

My face when I realized I had started a second playthrough:

It’s a pretty funny game, I liked the art style the most

Dude that lush, textured synth soundscape! Very nice as always.

I'm glad there was no tutorial. The sense of mystery and period of experimentation adding, and fit with the vibe imo. The character art is nice, and the choppy animation has some nice details, for example how the idle doesn't over-use the most jittery frames. Wait... is it randomized? Interesting idea. My favorite frame is the ballooning-chest as he goes into a jump from idle, and if I could tweak one thing about the game it would be to play that even when you going into a jump from walking.

The varied uses of the stars is core to the puzzle-thinking but also creates a lot of execution failures (at least for me) and the need to restart.

I thought I was doing pretty good but then I got stuck here:

How much did I miss?

Nice entry!

thanks for the feedback so far all.

@pkenney the idle break is randomly timed. and foolishly i did take out the start jump anim while running, i agree i should have left it. there are only 6 stages, plus the somewhat hidden interlude screen, and then the secret ending. it's not a lot of content due to me getting a late start, and not crunching like i did in my youth. there was definitely more possibilities i'd like to have explored with the signal generators.

Interesting game. Cute hand-drawn art style, solid platformer mechanics. Good work!

The graphics are weird but funny in a good way—really charming. The movement mechanics and how you make use of them are quite interesting too. Overall, well done!

Loved the hand-drawn art and the level design was extremely intuitive. By the last level I was happy that I could just trust that what I was doing was right - that layout of jumps was especially nice.

A good interpretation of the theme as well and the music/sfx combination was soothing. Congrats!

Nice little game. Surprising amount of interactions and ways how to progress. Didn't get stuck too much anywhere, but took me a little bit to figure out that finishing it actually made me start the game again, but then I noticed that level is the same, haha. Background music was kinda rough on my ears though, had to mute it after like a minute or two. Nice entry anyway!

Character and animations were charming! Glad the levels looped back around, totally missed #2.
Gamepad was also something I appreciated. Nice game!!

Nice puzzles, charming animation, lovely audio. The deadly trash cans were a bit annoying and movement felt a bit off but that might just be that I don't really like platformers much

Nice platformer. I liked the trash cans since they gave me a chance to start over when I messed up the level. Nice detail. Well done!

Lovely puzzle. I was surprised when I saw the animation style because I partially did something similar in my entry hehe. It gives such a cute/wacky vibe to the game. I recently stumbled across this "jiggly line boiling" style because of Mewgenics, I wonder if it had any influence for you as well.

I found the puzzles very well designed. Also, there were lots of them (ok, it might have took me a while to notice they were looping hehe). They started easy but were increasingly challenging, I had a lot of "eureka!" moments during the gameplay. The controls felt responsive enough that even that jump sequence with the thingamajigs was very fun to do.

Good job!

I like rough looking player animation, the puzzles were pretty straightforward but still fun and I appreciated the multiple purpose function the orb served throughout the levels. Also just beat the new game+, dope entry.

That was awesome.
A nice classic platformer that is anything but classic is looks.
It got laggy and i wasnt sure if it was by design. it made it more fun anyway. A game that can do that always impresses me. im really being serious, for some reason that reads to me like its sarcastic, i really loved it.

Really intrigueing with a mysterious atmostphere. I like how I had to figure out on my own what even happens. The soundscape is amazing!

Is there a way to truly beat the game or does it simply loop?

@purrseus Hi and thanks! There are 6 levels which loop, and a hidden ending screen that will appear once you've discovered everything. Your progress is saved in your browser, no need to do it all in one session.

Actually, it's a nice and not very difficult platformer, which made it interesting to play
Thank you for the game!
