I was solo parenting all weekend so I only had about ~12 hours for Ludum Dare and I thought, hey, let's put this baby to work. This is arguably a jam submission but since I also created the baby from scratch I'm counting it as compo.

I'll allow it! I understand how parental duties can make doing a game jam even more of a crunch, so this was a pretty impressive entry for what you got done. I love the art, SFX, and music. I got somewhere around 72% but just couldn't get any better. Having a toddler myself, I find this to be very realistic as he can be quite picky, haha.
I have made fewer babies than compo entries but I never figured out how to make a baby solo ;)
Great entry that was very silly. The sound design is obviously the star of this entry but "N" and "X" stood out as particularly great ones. Thanks for sharing
haha! probably being a new mom helped me find a solution :D
the voiceover is adorable and, though i am not sure if i clearly see a "signal" theme here, i definitely had fun! a bit chaotic, a bit random, super easy and 100% enjoyable :)
wishing you luck with game design, parenting and a combo of both!!
For such a simple game concept, it keeps your attention for much longer than expected and is executed very well! I love the discovery of the different items and it really makes you want to go through and spend the time hearing all the different words.
The scoring system keeps you engaged and makes me want to continue finding out what optimal baby crib is like. I was particularly entertained by the what seemed to be a lack of lower limit after scoring -610% ! I agree that having the functionality to delete items would make the game easier to figure out what the perfect crib is.
Overall, really fun entry and definitely unique, very impressive and polished for such a short time frame. I look forward to seeing all the future games this baby makes!
Side note: I have yet to figure out what "chickaboomboom" is...

> since I also created the baby from scratch I’m counting it as compo.
Very impressive creating a baby in 48 hours, putting all other mammals to shame! (I agree, this is a great compo entry)
Nice entry! Good job - especially doing it alongside everything else!
I know the feeling of trying to cram in an entry at the last minute. I got called into work for one jam and by the time I got done I only had three hours left. I was about to give up but I thought of something easy to build that was on-theme and I thought it was utterly hilarious. It was [a pretty terrible game](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/the-dungeons-of-indianapolis), but I had a fun time making it -- and that's what counts, isn't it?
**FYI:** Voice acting from others is allowed in the compo as long as the recordings were made during the event. It's under compo special exemptions in the rules along with fonts and company logos and stuff.
