Spymaster: Signal & Deception

In the tense atmosphere of a Cold War signal room, your desk is the battlefield and the airwaves are your weapon. Every crackle of static and every pulse of code holds the fate of the mission. As a Spymaster, you are the filter through which all truth must pass.

Decode. Distinguish. Survive.

Listen closely to incoming radio signals to uncover hidden messages. But be warned: the spectrum is crowded with deception. You must meticulously decode transmissions to determine if they are vital intelligence from allies or deceptive traps laid by the enemy. Trust no one; verify everything.

Key Features:

  • Ever-Changing Encryption: Adapt to shifting protocols as the enemy updates their ciphers to keep you in the dark.
  • Rigorous Deductive Reasoning: Analyze patterns and cross-reference data to separate genuine intel from elaborate scams.
  • Deep Deciphering Mechanics: Use logic and specialized tools to break complex codes and reveal the truth behind the noise.
  • Strategic Information Management: Maintain detailed logs of vital data. One missed detail or one false report could lead your agents into a catastrophe.

The mission is live. Are you listening?

Found out way too late that you can copy the text :sob:
Would be nice to have a small info for it or some kind of "quick copy paste" to get the text to the decypher screen.
Also: would be nice to keep the notes in a neat place on the screen all the time (not opening and closing all the time)

Good point about the copy paste! Will add a note about it on the entry page tomorrow!

Also I've seen a playtester drag all of the agents notes onto the main screen, that was a good workaround! If I had more time I'd have added a more convenient way to keep them at hand, but it was very tight!

The game is really good, it has a lot of different content and characters, great music, and clean UI. It's really impressive for a game jam, well done!!

I love the spy theme and the fact that you have to unravel the mystery. The way the gameplay and graphics work together really fits the theme.

Very cool idea! I also didn't notice that you can copy texts until waay too late which I actually would not even have minded if the frequency of the text had been lower.

similar to my game as well! Though, i wasn't able to implement a cipher translator in mine, how you're supposed to do it is translate the first thing to get the next translation you're supposed to do (to as much as it makes sense to)

Great idea with decoding messages, especially when you have to pick the right keys using the notes about the characters.

Really cool concept, reminds me a lot of papers please, which I love! Music was a great addition as well. the only thing I would add is there's a bit of reading fatigue, especially as you just get started into the game. It would have been nice to be introduced a bit slower, so the reading wasn't so heavy up front. Great work!
