Charging Station by Boudichon

[raw]
made by Boudichon for Ludum Dare 59 (JAM)

Convert the incoming signal to match the current battery. Spawn a creature based on your signal needs and drag it on the wave to transform it. Multiple effects can be combined.

I had ambitions for a more varied difficulty scale with juggling multiple batteries at the same time and having some creatures that applies more than one effect to the signal but with the limited time I preferred scoping down and focusing on polishing what I had. I am very proud of the results

Everything was made by myself except the audio.

I hope you enjoy this submission!

This is such an interesting idea!!! I love frequency matching puzzles like this and goofing around trying to find the right pattern is really fun. Perfect mix of experimenting around with what might work and logic for the little creatures.

Very cute guys. There's pretty good polish here with the in-game tutorial which I appreciate. I'm impressed by how visually charming you're able to make this with relatively little. The puzzle game itself is also pretty fun overall.

Lovely and delightful! This was something really unique and enjoyable. The trash sound effect was a bit loud and *almost* hurt my ears, but otherwise everything was neat and cute and fun.

I didn't immediately notice the different number of eyes. It's a cool puzzle.

Great take on the theme, and I love the art.

One point of feedback is that it became a bit difficult to see the more 'extreme' puzzles in which I had practically a flat line. It was quite difficult to see if it matched

Pretty & cute art, nice polished animation.
But for me difficulty curve is too steep, need to give player more time to adapt
