The game looks AMAZING! Very cool 3D boat, environment. And water! WATER IS SO COOL IN THE GAME!
Controls are nice, radio transmissions are hilarious. I sincerely follow the instructions of the Ministry of Truth and say no to OUTSIDIA! Hahaha
The radio is hilarious, sadly just slightly before i finished the game it crashed and i couldnt do anything but hear the amazing performence of your talented radio musicians.
It's well done: the models, the animation, the radio, the navigation. But honestly, I didn't understand the end goal. I rode around on the crosses, I poked around the radio.
I caught the "Police Buoy" four times.
But overall, the game was a good experience and a great impression.
Thank you for your game, you did a great job!
I love the idea, and getting to the points on the map to find the signal is super cool. Part of it is just the way you delivered info. I didn't have to read the directions beforehand and felt like there was a sense of discovery on what to do in the game. All the info was there built in. LOVE IT.
When the cops started chasing me, I was slightly confused. Maybe I was going too fast? :joy: Then I realized, they are just coming at me no matter what? It had a nice element of danger and needing to avoid certain areas. I liked that it was possible to lose them. But I think it was a little unclear how to deal with the police boats. One X point looked like I had to go through the rocks, and it felt fun to try and figure out how to get there. I was having fun checking my map and comparing the actual terrain to see how I needed to navigate. But then the cop showed up and ruined my fun. Made it a lot less peaceful. Probably not in scope for the jam, but it might've helped to have a 'danger zone' or off limits area that you knew the cops might come after you if you went there. Having them coming after you no matter what made it pretty hard. I never found the first X.
The writing is really funny and very well done. :ok_hand: The radio was great. It felt a bit loud imo? I wished I had a way to turn it down or switch the radio for a bit. I kept looking for that on the boat somewhere at first. It just sort of dominated the nice atmosphere you created.
Overall, this is incredible. One of my favs so far of the jam. :raised_hands:
Sometimes the traversal felt a bit tough - a bit bigger FOV might have helped, and I got stuck on rocks occasionally, but really that's just splitting hairs - this is definitely one of if not my favourite games of this jam.
But I liked the graphics and I respect the effort you put into this game.
The world feels rich and immersive, though sailing can occasionally feel a bit long. Getting caught by the police means restarting, which adds tension and challenge — but a checkpoint system could make it even more player-friendly. The goal is intriguing, and the level design is creative; adding a few landmarks (like mountains or rivers) on the map would make navigation even smoother.
Initially was confused how the signals work but after reaching the furthest target from start, found out that the button blinks when ready to receive.
Really loved the vibe, great work!
