Fat Cat Adventure by FrauKauz

You're a cat! You're hungry and also a bit moody!

Walk along the window sill and do what a cat does best. Throw down stuff, avoid cacti, take a nap and find the food bowl!!

About "Fat Cat Adventure"

"Fat Cat Adventure" is a jump'n'run game with point'n' click controls! - To walk, select the walk action button and click on where you want to go. - To interact with objects, select an action button and click on the object. - Your mission: Find the food bowl! - On your way to the food bowl, push down objects the windowsill to make room or jump on or over obstacles. Some obstacles are less forgiving then others, for example cacti! Talking to objects will result in a funny meow-y cat moment, but nothing else ;). - Once you reached the food bowl, the game is over.

Unfortunately, we didn't make it in time and we marked the game as "unfinished".

During this game jam, we started from scratch with Godot (first time, yay) and implemented the basic game mechanics. We drew a lot of sprites, animation sprite sheets and a tile set and accompished to assemble a first level. We decided to leave aside music and sound effects for now. Until now, the game has no proper "goal reached"/end logic implemented yet, so we labeled it as "unfinished".

To get a glimpse of the gameplay and our idea, here's a little sneak peak.

About the creators of 'Fat Cat Adventure'

We are Franziska and Marc and we are a married couple from Germany. We earn our living as software engineers but unfortunately not with games. As games enthusiasts we take the opportunity Ludum Dare gives us to try out making games. We like experimenting with technologies we do not know yet, like different game engines but we also love the creative aspects of this work.

Ah, and by the way. We don't own a cat :D
