Cerebra Cortex - Life is Currency by Cleowillo

[raw]
made by Cleowillo for LD 44 (UNFINISH)

You were kidnapped as one of the few who walks around with a monitor chip cable of interpreting brainwave activities into actions by robots and even share your thoughts with others. You managed to escape outside the fort, but you need to get off the island. Cerebra Cortex<em>WallPaper</em>Dark.jpg

The chip allows you to connect to electronic devices and manipulate them, be warned tho! You can end up losing your memory and if your brain stops giving off brainwave you die! Jam Shot 005.png

the character movement is pretty good in terms of mechanics, and I liked the terrain, good job!

Thanks @potatuetata my objective was to push the bounds of my limit to see what I could produce for 3D games and I did! Most of it I leanrt while I was doing it, n these are stuff that I previously tried and took me 1 month with no success so I feel quite accomplished o my end, just wanted to replicate a sense of interaction on yours(players) tho.

wow! I really feel good about the compliment on the terrain, because I always for myself lacking in that area of development, I learn a lot from it. The character mechanics went smoothly as I wanted(could be better too :) Thanks for letting me know @soggybreadhands

The game looks so good. The droid guy is so cool, but there's only the test map. I fell out of the word. Enemies can't see me and there's nothing to do. Well, but at the end this is unfinished.

First off, thank you for taking some time to comment on the game.. it really warms my heart. Secondly, Yea sadly I hadn't got the enemy AI script to work as well, which I will be fixing in future updates(In the coming week hopefully) I have done some obvious bug cleanups like overlapping audios, unresponsive UI and passing through trees,
I've even implemented esc to close the application now

I will add in a neat lil system that will replace the bounding and falling off terrain issue, I hope u can try it back then. Thanks tho!Can follow up on itch if your interested in the it too @franciszek-pyrc

you submitted something, this is already a victory in its own right, next time try smaller scope, like 1 screen arcade

Probably want to go a little smaller scope next time, however keep this code around, because honestly the controls and camera felt great. I could see this being pretty fun. Keep it up

Yes, I surely will @korteh . My onjective for this Jam was to push all bounds, but you're right next time I'll focus in on gameplay and smoothness on Player's end. Thanks for the advice

thank you @pcoridan I'm pretty proud of it as well, I'm glad you could see the potential in it, I surely will be using it in other 3D games for sure! I will be doing something smaller next time too. Most of what I utilized in the jam was "as I learnt" so that's my reason for feeling even more accomplished.
