A game has no name (no, seriously, we didn't choose a name...) by arnaud_m
Purpose of the game:
You're in the shoes of a young and motivated door-to-door salesperson.
Your goal is to visit each house and convince the owner to buy one of your products. However, people in this city are tired of salespersons so they will attack you if you upset them. If it happens, you can throw some money at them, to calm them down. But beware, your currency is your life!
How To Play:
- Move the player with WASD/ZQSD/Arrow keys.
- Shoot with left click (you will shoot in the direction of the mouse).
- You will lose money each second, you need to act quickly!
Disclaimer:
This is our first Ludum Dare, the game was too ambitious, our collisions systems don't work, I spend a lot of times fighting against the framework we choose...
Well, it wasn't a successful LD but it was fun and even if our game isn't finished, we're proud to have something to put online this time. (Yep, we try some game jam before and we never have a working build at the end).
I want to make some acknowledgments to:
My partners in crime: Zanguy (https://twitter.com/Zanguyy), who handles most of the programming, and his wife who take some times to create some music for us.
Nicolas Canasse for the Haxe programming language.
- Beeblerox for the HaxeFlixel framework.
- Thorbjørn Lindeijer for the Tiled Level Editor.
and of course, all the contributors and financial supporters of those open source projects. You rocks!
We will practice Game Development until next LD, see you next time, with a better game!
