Flame of Hope was meant to be a top-down real-time puzzle game with combat elements. The current version is only a prototype with a single sandbox room. You can move with the arrow keys and use your rod with the C key to catch and use fire. Not all collisions are set, and nothing happens when the character leaves the room.

This game was submitted to Ludum Dare 46 on the theme "Keep it alive".

UPDATE 2023-05-09:

The game was remade with Godot, with more rooms and a throw fireball mechanic. You can play the latest version on itch: https://fluentlystudios.itch.io/flame-of-hope

Looks pretty cool, I would say it has a high theme rank and a nice story and nice graphics. Pretty well done even if you needed a bit more code behind the game.

This really has potential. The audio and graphics are nice. Too bad you did not had the time to do more :\
I also was not able to submit a more complete game...

Lots of Potential here! It's always hard to do something within 72 hours, but I think you've done a great start already. The fact that you're a team makes it already harder to do something in 3 days, so I'm sure your next LD will be better!

Also, you can spend time to improve this, if you want.

Thanks! We're still working on it to add actual puzzle rooms. Check out the itch.io for updates!
