Edit: Seems there was a mixup; this shouldn't have been posted as unfinished. Not sure how that happened, but in our eyes we did finish in time. What's done is done, but please rate us as if it were a finished game.

It's a cool idea with cheerful music. Pity you run out of time.
I enjoyed playing it :)

Oh that's a fun concept !

The gameplay could use a bit of polish, it was slightly frustrating when someone I was targeting was hanging just next to a rock and just not allowing me to catch them with the leash, for example.
Also a weird issue where the fullscreen game would crop out the upper bar, so I couldn't see how much time was left...

Otherwise the art and music make for a nice and funny package, Cool !

@stracker Thanks for playing!! Did you ever bark with "E" or "Spacebar"? If you do it close to people, they run and scatter. That's a good way to get them away from an obstacle and grab them. :D

@kurt-roembke Ooooh, that'll teach me to skim instructions, that does make things a bit better !

Funny game! I love how the little doggy runs on the screen. The idea is nice and it is well done but for me it got repetitive after a while. Well done nevertheless!

I laughed with the name of the game :D

A fun little entry! Loved the gameplay and your take on the theme! The graphics and music were great too. Good work!

I actually love this one :) It deserves more time to polish, but it is very nice and cute idea. My dog is also doing this all the time :)

Only problem is there is no restart button and it's very easy to mess with the leash (like in real life, right?)

@erlioniel a restart button as in, to just reset the timer/game and start over? hadn't occurred to us, but definitely something i'll keep in mind for future jams

Great use of the theme. I thought your leashing mechanic was very innovative. I think that the bark mechanic could use some refining, but that's a minor blemish on a great jam game. Well done!

The leash mechanic was very well done! Nice, simple gameplay :)

It was a bit easy for me to get stuck (around the rock) in a situation where there was very hard to do anything - a bit faster reset to the people tangled in the leash in a case like that might be nice.

All in all, one of the best games of this jam I've played in my opinion :)

Very innovative, and a great creative use of the theme. And so cute .)

I didn't see the timer anywhere on the screen. Was it supoosed to be theer?

Anyway, good job!

This is a really nice concept executed well, it's simple, complete and polished which is a great approach to take to LD imo.

Bug report: I had the game freeze after restarting after my first completed round.

@kuro timer should have been in the top HUD bar; interesting that you didn't see it. Any idea what aspect ratio you played at? Did you play at the default size or scale it up?

@erlioniel love the art added in that edit!

That was such a fun and a really enjoyable game! One might say the graphics are simple, but I actually have no idea how you did the physics of the leash :) Best of luck, team, you did great!

Haha this was so good!

The art is readable, the music is nice and the sounds are so funny.
The chore mechanic is very smart and feels really good, too bad you couldn't do it in time!

Thanks for the game I loved it 💕

I liked the music, and the rope gameplay worked well and was intuitive. The bark was a nice addition but I used it only once to make a group of people on my way run somewhere else (I think it was to be used this way, just not very useful).

I've read your post about the palette and I'm sorry you couldn't solve the issue in time, though you made me notice the natural queerness of the game.
Being a gay man I appreciate you thought about it!

Sadly, fullscreen you lose a portion of the game, so I couldn't see the timer while playing! But it adds those blue square that may be not intended but I found cool ahah

It is cheerful, nice work =)
I'm sad you had problems with being in the jam, hope you manage to solve th issue!

Fun little game with really cute music !
The physics of the leash is working really nicely too.

I can really see a competitive two-player game out of it !
