The movements are smooth and that weird satisfaction of devouring the victim on a jump is priceless. Audio would really help this be a great game. However to be fair I really challenged myself this time and did absolutely no prep work. I had to build my engine from scratch and only had barebones libraries to work with.\r\nI found it really difficult going back to javascript after spending this year learning Java, and I probably won't be using it again.\r\n\r\nLibraries\r\nPhysicsJS - http:\/\/wellcaffeinated.net\/PhysicsJS\/\r\nI used this for the collisions and to simulate the water (there is drag and boyancy\r\nPixiJS - http:\/\/www.pixijs.com\/\r\nThis handles my rendering and the canvas (or webGL depending on browser)\r\nRequireJS - http:\/\/requirejs.org\/\r\nI mostly use this just to help me keep structure in my code.\r\n\r\nI also used jQuery but purely for the custom events to handle the keyboard.\r\n","title":"Monster of the Deep"}
