Its hard to understand, but, looks very good, and the sounds are greats
I got too like -1500m, but stopped getting voice lines at like -900m, and no matter how often I dug, I did not get past 10 diamonds. Also, it got quite tedious at that point once i found a positive feedback loop.
All in all:
Excellent work!
Some bugs I found:
1. Dwarfs do not always get hidden behind the machine (image 1)
2. There does not seem to be a maximum health (image 2, also would be cool if the dwarfs were animated [e.g. when closing, move them "with the floor", but keep them pointing forward])
3. once dwarf population exceeds 7 or 8, they start appearing at random places, and overlapping each other in the cafeteria, which is tedious
4. Repairing the machine did not cost dirt for me
5. The background shift animation jumped at the end (maybe because 16:10 display)

UDP: It finally occured to me that each dwarf has limited number of turns before he leaves, it's not a bug, it's a feature. And a quite cool one. It feels a little too limited though.
Very well made. Great graphics, audio and game mechanics.
Awesome work.
I would have loved a tutorial or something at the beginning to appreciate the game to its full potential
I play a long time on your game :)
They are some minor bug. But it's normal for a game with this ambition :)
I found the game
mechanic very interesting :)
A few problems particularly concerning the job reset on turn end with a population of around 10 and more. Also it took me a while to understand what you meant by "CAP" since you can still place more than the room limit.
The idea and its implementation are awesome, loved how the very good voice acting comes in to add another layer to the theme.
Loved it!
Some people said it lacks a tutorial. I do not completely agree. I would say it just needs a little more feedback on what is happening :
- a detail of the lost/gained energy and dirt you get at each turn,
- little hearts above the dwarves to realize immediatly they have health,
- icons telling you have unlocked the solid hull and the double dirt production, so that you do not wonder if it can be unlocked many times,
- etc.
Also, written subtitles of the story elements you get when you go deeper would be appreciated. I am not a native English/American. It's sometimes a bit hard for me to understand spoken english, especially when the voice has music and drilling sound in the background.
There is a bug when you pick a dwarf, then click on "end turn" without placing it. It stays attached to your mouse cursor and it is difficult to put it back in a room. I managed to do it by clicking everywhere in a panicky way.
I got to -210 meters, then realized I will not have any more than digitized voice I am not sure to understand, so I stopped.
Nice game and very nice graphics, but I would have wanted more elements and more stats/resources to handle.
I really like this kind of worker management-survival game, especially when it's turn based. At first I didn't really understand the game, idly throwing Bill and Ted around until a bunch of X's stopped me from doing things and only one dwarf remained. Once it all clicks, the mechanics work well together and the real pressure of long-term welfare vs. profits draws you in.
The art design has this awesome diorama feel to it, and the sort of middleground between a board game and stylized 3D was executed very well. I was at first worried that the music would end up being too intense of a score for the game, but it ended up being a really solid orchestral loop that carries the theme very well and hits those minor notes at all the right points, and it gives the whole thing a sort of ominous tone.
I think Recher's suggestions are a great step towards improving the first time experience with a little more transparency, but overall I think this is a really fun entry. Great work!
