Nice work on this one! I really liked the concept for this game. I think the art style is quite pretty. I think some times the background was a bit hard to tell if it was going to be an obstacle or not but overall a great entry!

Really liked that once you grabbed the tanks, the screen became its own mini level that you must escape in order to reap the benefits. Maybe link the pulling back to something other than the oxygen meter, because it didn't feel great when I was so close to the bottom of the screen with oxygen in hand and I ran out and had to restart. Maybe just avoid all obstacles on your way down or you drop it? Nice visuals and audio as well. Overall great work!

Awesome intro and artwork! Had a few issues where I kept running out of oxygen on the first two but after then it was a fun!

Quite a nice game, visually and in its mood.
I must admit the mechanics about grabbing the O2 canister to progress is not very clear. I understand it's difficult with such time constraints to make a tutorial or add in-game instructions. Consider adding clarifications in the game page (here).

The concept reminded me of the beginning of "The Stars My Destination". Initially I didn't recognize the second level of 02 tanks from the rest of the rubble. They do have a white outline, but they are identical to the rest of the floating stuff otherwise.

Anyway. The graphics are very well drawn and the gameplay is very solid. Good job.

good stuff, As others mentioned I also didn't recognize the second 02 tanks at the start ^^' also found that I often even with perfect flight didn't manage to retrieve some of them, which was somewhat frustrating. but even so, really well done! love the atmospheric sound btw

The game looks pretty, and it's actually pretty hard to beat. I managed to get the final cargo through a lot of fails. I like the graphics, it has it's own unique style and mood. Overall I enjoyed playing it. Nice game!

Simple yet fun game. But it gets a little bit boring to go all this way up every time. Also it's hard to see those black obstacles on dark background. Visuals are awesome.

It took me a while to get the hang of it, but when I figured out how to retrieve the oxygen tanks it was really fun and satisfying. The graphics are fun too, cute and cool.

Sometimes it was a little too dark to see where I had to go or I had some bad luck with too many object blocking the way. So some runs it was hard, but the well balanced increments of oxygen and fun surprise objects floating around made for a well rounded experience.

I really liked the last object especially!

Very cool art style. I love the hand drawn aesthetic. The calming music and the art style really make the mood of the game. Good job.

The game looked and sounded great! I love the art style.
I got a little frustrated at the end when I kept running out of oxygen when trying to get the power source. It made me think I'd missed an oxygen tank somewhere.

Nice game! It was a simple concept, but it worked well. I loved the progression of the game, and how it fit with the theme, and it was always satisfying to see myself going past previous milestones. The gameplay was slow at times though, especially since there wasn't all that much challenge getting to the oxygen tanks, so a lot of the time I was just waiting to rise up. Also, I wasn't sure if holding up and boosting actually did anything, or if I was supposed to be doing it all the time - it'd be nice if that was a bit clearer.

As for the artwork, it was great. The background looked really nice, and the sprites stood out well in front of it. The obstacles were very clear to see too, which is always great in a game - though one complaint is that some of the oxygen tanks and obstacles look a bit similar, which was a little confusing at times. The sound design was fitting too, and the thruster sound effects, though small, were a really nice addition to the game. The background music was relaxing, and it worked with the feel of them game.

All in all, it was a fun little game, and you did a really good job on it! Nice work!

The art style is adorable! The game's quite simple in its concept and the difficulty scales very well, making it a really pleasant experience. I especially liked how the size of canisters increased in time. The music also fits very well with the atmosphere.
Awesome game overall, thank you for this!

Hey this was pretty cool! I really liked the art style (especially in the story cutscene), and the collision detection on the "space junk" is actually really well done. I also like the dynamic rendering of the tether on the astronaut.

It would be cool to give the astronaut a few more sprites for thrusting, moving to the sides, facing the other way, etc. I think that would make controlling the character feel more dynamic!

Good and enjoyable game. Agree with other commenters that the objects are not differentiated, and the dark-on-dark background is difficult to see. also, for those of us with small screens, this is hard to play due to needing large vertical resolution. I only have a 1366x768 screen.

Many of the comments already addressed the slight issues here so I won't retread. I've got to say, the art is perfect and I love the song in the background. I would love to see this mechanic used and adopted into a larger game. A few people have said the experience was fairly relaxing so, maybe some kind of space tourist thing, with a risk-vs-reward mechanic. Great job!

Really great art, music and atmosphere! The music sort of reminded me of Super Metroid and that got me thinking that this could totally be turned into a little metroidvania.

I have to say – THANK YOU for not making us go all the way back to the ship every time we run low on oxygen. A lot of game in this jam have an oxygen mechanic, and your solution is definitely the most palatable.

Great work, I'd like to see this expanded! The strong mood has left me wanting more.

I won! Loved this entry, very short and sweet. It was so pretty and calming.

I got a little bit confused every time I grabbed an oxygen tank at the beginning because I didn't notice that the oxygen bar increased, but that's my fault for not reading the description properly.

Great job!

I really liked the art style. It's simple, clean. I found the music and SFX to be a bit imbalanced in that the upwards jet pack sound is quite loud. But regardless I found it fun - thanks for making it!

Enjoyable! Very mellow gameplay. I liked the intro cinematic. Nice cartoony style.

It was initially difficult to tell the difference between the background illustration, which let me pass, and the foreground illustration, which blocked me. I think it's because they're shaped and colored very similarly. Perhaps more differentiation would help? Or making the background more uniform and only having the craggy ship edges as blocking foreground elements.

Awesome artwork !
I really enjoyed the art of the cinematic and the different sprites. As other said, background and foreground components are kinda hard to differenciate but except than that, great little game :)

I really like the art in this game, and the beginning animation was cool. The music was great and fit the game, but the jet pack sound does get repetitive. Good job!
