This was really enjoyable. I love the FPS-conversion of flappy bird. Great work.

I like the game, the mechanics and grafics are good but i respawn with the same stamina with wich i died, that confused me a little.

@hieronymus yeah that was an oversight, ill change that in the post compo version.

Very enjoyable! The lack of variation in the quips can be a bother at times, but I suppose that's the price to pay for dying constantly haha

Slap dem big ol' batties. Maybe more diversified voice audio... like having multiple lines for each event, and not playing every pick up or event.

not bad! I like the fly controls the most. The graphics are nice too. I will likely go back when I have more time to see what happens as the levels progress. Great job! best of luck in the jam!

The attacks hitting are super satisfying. Often not enough time to react if a bat is just out of your peripheral vision. Voice lines a great, but maybe don't have them EVERY pickup. I wish there was a bit of momentum or acceleration so the movement wasn't so rigid and binary, but still very fun. Solid entry!

Loved jumping platform to platform while feeling like a ninja as I whapped enemies out of the air. I felt like Genji from Overwatch but without the toxic teammates. Took me almost half an hour but I finally got 51/51 coins. Random voice quips would definitely help them feel less repetitive. Also the enemy death sounds kinda seem like they are cut off. If you add the AudioStreamPlayer to the level on death, then you can despawn the enemies without cutting off the audio, then simply set the audio to free on the stream ending. Also changing the timer to minutes + seconds would be a nice change. Overall had a ton of fun trying to beat the game with all the coins.

@joe-z NICE 51 coins is a feat!!. thank you for the feedback and playing the game. yeah i agree with the audio source, that was on my polish list of many things i couldnt get too. thanks for the tip!

Oh man, there definitely needs to be a few more checkpoints at the end. I got to 47 coins when a bat got me through the floor I was standing on. The last section just stretched on for multiple minutes without a checkpoint, so taking a death in the late-game is incredibly punishing. I really enjoyed the voice acting, and the 3D models were well made too! Nice work.

Haha interesting game! I love the idea, and I don't think I've heard voice acting in any of the games yet. Good job!

Great entry! I love the VO work, but it was quite repetitive. The "flapping" felt good and the slapping was very forgiving which was nice because unless you have a high dpi on the mouse, it can be difficult to flick to kill the enemies.

Very fun! The mechanics of flying by wing flaps while simultaneously slapping enemies mid-air works well. A speed run mode could be a nice addition.

I love the sound effects and the slap mechanic. Very fun game, only thing I would suggest is making the difficulty scale slower but that's just my noob opinion :D

This was fun! I loved all the voiceovers and flapping around and punching felt satisfying. I wish there was a health system instead of instant death but otherwirse I enjoyed playing! Great work!

Very fun! Voice over was good and fun to slap the bats. I only wished there was a bit more feedback for when your getting attacked so you can more easily dodge.

Love this idea of this game, but I found a lot of the time I couldn't see the enemies and I was dying to something I never saw which was slightly frustrating. I think perhaps some health system, or a warning that there's an enemy above somehow would really improve it. Overall enjoyed it though!

Nice and catchy concept of flying between platforms!

Some remarks:
1. Enemies kill you from behind too frequently. Expectation: player flies faster or enemies fly slower.
2. Audio starting with loud speech scared me. Expectation: game start with audio with volume that helps to prepare.
3. Sound lags/is stuttering in HTML5 version. Google Chrome here. Sound in Windows version is smooth. Expectation: sound in HTML5 is smooth as in Windows version.

Good entry!

Sorry I didn't get to play the game for very long, but most first-person games make me motion sick. I would really recommend including hit markers so you know if / when an enemy is approaching from behind. Also, I'd suggest reconsidering the use of using swear words; most of the time it isn't necessary.

I hope you were able to tolerate our shenanigans

I actually really enjoyed this one. I was worried that combining attacking with Flappy Bird controls (especially in 3D) would feel really awkward, but this was surprisingly fluid and felt very satisfying to pull off.

I'll definitely be coming back to this one to complete it soon. :smiling_imp:

This seems like a rage game at first, but with a little practice you can finesse it. The voice over is hilarious. the 3d work makes for a cool little world, everything looks like it fits. The controls are tight, the difficulty comes with needing to see in multiple directions at once. I don’t know if there’s a design solution to that, and maybe it doesn’t need one, because that’s what makes the game what it is. I really felt like I was getting better as I went along, and the successes are SUPER rewarding. Nice Job!!

God this game is fun! I love the voice acting and the platforming feels super solid! Just an all around good time! I honestly don't even have one bad thing to say about this... Oh wait... There could have been some music, but the fact that I noticed that only after closing the game and being halfway through writing this comment probably means that it is really a minor thing.

Really well done!

this was pretty dope! I really liked how you turned it into a fp flappy bird, it's pretty responsive and the platforming aspect seemed pretty easy to control. I only wish there was a way to lower the mouse sensitivity. good job overall!

Congratulations on your game, the idea is good, a suggestion for future upgrades would be to leave a fog, because some points are very predictable because you far ahead what awaits you, a big hug, and I await your evaluations regarding my game.

The flappy bird platformer is a great idea! However the bats attacking you from behind is annoying.

The humor hit, the game was very funny. I liked the combination of "genres". The mechanics were simple enough to understand on a whim, and the goal was similarly simple to get. These are all positives for a jam game. The one big drawback for me was the "tightness" of the controls. The game could feed very "jerky" at times. And when you have to balance WASD movement, the rotation through mouse position, spamming the space bar to keep afloat, AND "slapping" enemies in midair, the jerky-ness of the controls could get a little overwhelming and you could quickly find yourself forgetting to apply one of those mechanics. Enemies behind you, while you are in mid-air, and can't drop quickly, are a death sentence. Turning around to slap them changes your direction, and it can be hard to get back the way you were going with the depleting stamina bar, and ignoring them allows them to kamikaze into you, killing you outright.
