Although that was a lot of critique here, there are some really nice aspects of the game and I hope the feedback is helpful.
The controls definitely need a complete refactoring beginning with the animations but there was no time left.
This was my first time using unreal for a jam so there were many pitfalls. But I learned a lot in this jam. Unfortunately it was a lot of how not to do stuff ;)
I know that feeling. But the things you learn is what makes game jams so good.
Had the same struggles. Tried something I did not do before, which took longer than I thought so some things juast fall short at the end.
Unreal was a pretty bold choice, but I think it paid off because of the neat 3D environment and camera movement. Good stuff!
I Eventually got to the second level, but everything is way too dark. It was very hard to see anything at all. You need a torch or something.
The camera popping forwards when enemies get too close was disorientating.
You did a decent job but it definitely needs more work to be properly playable.
