I think some of the narrative weight was disrupted by the fact that I kept falling off. Like over and over
I love it when entries get personal like this. The themes and narrative presented here are very well done, and do an excellent job of representing the slow mental deterioration of a character.
Honestly, I think the only thing holding this game back right now is its slightly simplistic gameplay. Walk to a place and hit a button to progress the story is well and good, but I can see so much more opportunity for mechanical and visual storytelling here that could really make the player feel what the character is feeling. Lost, confused, doubtful of what they're seeing or remembering, etc.
I certainly don't fault the game as it stands for this, though. You absolutely pulled this off the best way you could've given the time constraints of the jam. I guess all I'm saying is that I'd love for this concept to be expanded on. :) Very nicely done!!
but other than that it was a very enjoyable game.
This may actually be the greatest Ludum Dare project I have ever experience, and if it doesn't get top marks for mood then I'll be extremely shocked. Amazing job, consider me to be giving you the text equivalent of a standing ovation right now!
unfortunately I don't speak English very well, but the melancholy was there!
I liked the simplistic but efficient graphics.
The music is the voice of the granny were top!
For my taste sometimes a little too far between the story points, but this only underlined the sad atmosphere. Good job!
