HighScore 1628 for now :)
The drop-a-mine mechanic is really cool, the way that you can drop a lot but they are dangerous for your sub turns it into a cool risk/reward mechanic. That was my favourite mechanic I've seen so far, hopefully lots of people try pressing space to see it.
Cool game, nice mood and audio as well.
My only suggestion is that the sub should be positioned more towards the top of the camera since you are only going in one direction.
The submarine can be in the top of the screen if you like. You still go down but a bit slower. It's actually a decent tactic. We wanted the player to be able to choose their playstyle regarding where the submarine would be (every now and then mines are dropped from the top as well so being in the top of your screen and locked would not work with the mines).
The obstacles are spawned with a random interval within a certain range so as an example: every 40 - 75 seconds / difficulty with as extra criteria the depth the player is. So some objects only spawn when you are at a certain depths.
Thanks for the feedback and playing!
Good work!
