I get an error while trying to run the Mac version: '“Beebook - Beat the Feed” is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the Trash.' Not sure if it's an issue my end or yours. Will play again when I am on my Windows PC but just thought I should say as an FYI!

Wow. I managed to get 8200 points, I don't know if it's a lot, but I spent more time than I would in other Jam games. The music is great, the art is dope. I would suggest adding feedback when you do something good or bad. For the first couple of minutes, I didn't understand if a game even reacts to me pressing the buttons. Like you can color the arrow icons or something. Overall it's a cool little game. Great job!

That was great! The dynamic music (at least, it seemed dynamic) was really awesome, super impressed by what you've done there. There were so many "beeb"s, which was very impressive - I'm just sad I didn't get to read many!

Would have been nice to have a few more adverts, but as they're all animated very cleanly I can see why that would be tough. A little bit of feedback that you hit the button right would be good - I saw that the adverts animate, but I was often looking at the arrow keys on the side and not the advert.

The scrolling and feedback from the music was all super enticing too. It kept me playing for ages! The game did just seem to stop at some point though - I thought I had battery left, but maybe I ran out.

@natpat thanks for the feedback! The Mac build indeed seems to be broken, we put it down for the moment. Glad you could play our game anyway! The game suddenly stopping is a bug that happens when the song is about to loop. We are working on it. It means you made it really far, though! Congratulations to the current Highscore!

Rhythm is really catchy. It still playing in my head. Drawings and animations are really awesome. I only have one feedback, can you set different colors for the arrows in UI? I can adapt much faster if I speak for myself.

420 69, nice ! The music was very catchy and after a few tries it was easy to get the hang of it. The animations are very well done, and I like the interpretation of the theme, although I had to pause to read the individual beebs.
PS: @purrseus, what would you think about your ads in our game? :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Aw. The MacOS version seems to be missing from the Itch page. Looks like a really cool game from the screenshots and descriptions though!

That's a really catchy game, i think you should give more feedbacks to know when you have to press the button

@eta 42069 beebs?!?! :scream: I would have not thought that possible, given the bug that makes you fail, once the song is through :astonished: We have a new champion! :trophy:

While playing your game, my first thought was to recreate user profiles from ours. I decided against shameless self promotion though. But of course I, and all of us, would feel truly honored, if you are _actually_ serious about adding our advertisements to deepr, doubtlessly one of the most unique creations on this site 😯

Maybe we can start a social network for social networks created during this Ludum Dare?

The beats are pretty cool and catchy, ended up playing this a bit too much.
Maybe add sound feedback for when we press the sound keys, and it'll be perfect, 10/10.

PS: pretty sure eta mentioned the 420 likes(?) and 69 replies in the screenshot posted

@purrseus Oh gosh take me out of that leaderboard @kameia is right, I just noticed your easter egg with the likes and comments, I don't wanna jeopardize your leaderboard  I wasn't actually serious about the ads, but let's give it some thought

This was a great one! Loved reading through all the silly posts in my beebook tweet. Great music, super clean art and general aesthetic and a very creative take on the theme. Also loved how you went full meta, posting as the company CEO and so on. There could be some more variety in ads though.

I really liked your take on the theme here, and the visuals were fantastic.

I agree with other commenters that it would have been nice to get some feedback when I didn't press the buttons correctly.

Great job overall, though!

Wow, I can't believe how much I enjoyed pressing buttons for such a long time! :D Really well done -- the animations, the music, the attention to detail! My best is 13871, but I will try again until I reach the top!

We definitely need to talk about collaborating :P

Hahahah love the concept also love this 420 reference.
Nice work, maybe more visual feedback to the player would help with the game interaction.

Nice game fish mates!

Very original and interesting game. I liked the rhythm nature but I wasn't sure if I was pressing them right or not. lol

@kameia showed me this game so I had to try and beat his highscore (2nd try :grimacing:)
![highscore.png](///raw/d86/21/z/41eb5.png)
Really solid rhythm game! I wanted to make one too, but couldn't figure out how to make one without manually placing each note for the whole song, but you figured out a much more elegant solution! The only suggestion I have is to have some sort of feedback that you nailed a beat and when you lose health, as the first time I played it I had no idea if I was correctly following the rhythm. Otherwise, good job!

Outstanding!!! It was definitely not something I would expect to play on the "deeper and deeper" LD :D
The only issue I had was the actual timing of the keypresses - I had to play them just a blink after the beat that was playing in my head. Felt hella unnatural, but, luckily, didn't spoil the fun!
The music is top-notch. I didn't have the chance to read deeply into the actual Beebs, but I'm positive they are top-notch as well.

My congratulation to your entry. I call that a novel idea and it really fit to the theme.I had the feeling it was only missing a little of UX Feedback to make this game intense. When hitting the arrow keys, I was never sure if I was doing it right or not. Here a visual and audio feedback would have been great for the entry. But never then less good job to your submission!
