Definitely a diggy game, time flew by!
Most flamboyant run award goes to...
Cool music.
I like how you can Mario bonk your head against gem filled tiles to knock them out.
I like how the ghost ores fall through the earth into the abyss.
Some more interactions with the grapple hook(right click) would've been cool.
Played to the end, very fun with a bit of mystery!

I loved the art and animation in this game! Finding new ores and things to sell was really fun. Well done!

A very polished game - nice work! Definitely some strong Motherload vibes. Really appreciated the story existing alongside the gameplay!

This was really good, some of the best art and animation I've seen yet! Music was also great.

Fun game! Very relaxing atmosphere.

I think I ran into a bug. I wanted to retire early, so I paid off my entire debt, hoping to get an alternate ending. Unfortunately, when i came back to my computer, I discovered that even though my Debt Balance was $0, I was still required to make a minimum payment of $400.

My favorite part of this game is the fake computer complete with OS and Browser. The world flavor is fantastic and immersive!

Wow, amzaning work here. I played it like 1h or so, probably longer, totally lost track of time (and space), I almost got trapped at the ending which was very scary, I took the wrong path but finally was able to get out and see the ending. Did you create the whole map by hand?
Also the sounds are nice, the drawings, I think I like everything about this game. ^^

@silas-reinagel ah wow nice work paying off your debt! We weren't expecting that to be possible, thinking that the pickaxes would cost too much and you would go deeper in debt, so we didn't implement an alternate ending for being debt-free.

@leorid Glad you enjoyed it! We hand-crafted the chambers that have story-related items (and undiggable tiles). The decorations and dirt/rock/caverns along the way are procedurally generated.

I think I beat it! A lot of nice mining, though if you miss a letter it's somewhat easy to get stuck for a bit (especially if you forget what level of dirt you can dig through). I liked the story elements mixed in with the mining, pretty cool. nice job!

Very addictive! I'm impressed with what you managed to pull off in just 72 hours! I love the character animations but the climbing system is super buggy...

Super good game! I love the artwork (especially the snails) and sound! The "home" screen with the CRT looking computer interface was a great touch. I'm also really glad you didn't start the player "back at the top" on each new day. Unlike a lot of LD mining games, yours had an interesting story/mystery which kept me engaged a lot longer than I would have been without it! Finally made it to the light and (presumably) back home!

Absolutely loved it, not at all what I expected!! The lore was great, kept me very invested (I audibly gasped when I found you-know-what), the art style is really nice, and it was a lot of fun to explore (though I kept getting distracted by getting the ores, I am a good little Ancadia worker lol). Super fleshed out for 72 hours, awesome job!! :)

Pretty fun but had to dock a point for patching the game after the deadline

@reactor-scram Glad you liked it!

According to https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/rules, certain bug fixes are allowed, and we tried not to change anything big (just a couple edge cases that only sometimes happen)
That said, you're fair to rate however you choose, so no problem.

At first I thought "Oh hey, another Mining game". But all the Lore and the Mechanics were very well crafted. And reading that it was all done by hand to provide a suberp experience - hats off to you guys! Well done, looking forward to the next Jams!

I enjoyed this, finding the journals kept me going to the very end. Very unexpected and cool story.
