Deranged Space by Roman Dubrovin

You are a scientist on a small research spaceship in the distant sectors of the galaxy. Due to the crash of your spaceship caused by a collision with an asteroid, you are the only active crew member left. The course of the spacecraft is lost, and now you are flying into open space, deeper and deeper. To survive and return home, you have to handle this difficult situation, but first of all, you have to handle yourself. Deeper into space, deeper into insanity.

The main feature of the game is the level of stress, which increases during the events of the game. The higher the stress level, the more hallucinations you see and the more the world is distorted around you. Stress levels can be determined by the sounds of breathing and heartbeat, so an audible user interface with dynamically changing sounds is another feature of the game.

Also, there is an oxygen level in every room, so you must watch your oxygen supply and close all airlocks behind you to keep any remaining oxygen from leaking into space.

I really liked the atmosphere and sprites in the game. The music complements the atmosphere perfectly. I did tend to get stuck in the doors and the movement sometimes felt a bit clunky. but overall a nice game with a nice concept.

Very cool visuals and atmosphere. But there are some issues with the Z order. And the game is quiet short. But with more polished gameplay it would be an excellent experience. Good job!

I really liked the mood and audio. Was hoping to enjoy at least 10 minutes, but somehow game closes itself after I enter in the 2d chamber (only available). Doors are not bad, but lack of feedback. Well done!

I really like the feel and atmosphere! The music is just the right blend of creepy but hopeful. The graphics and lighting are very nice!

For the gameplay, I got pretty stuck. The movement didn't feel very smooth or intuitive and I got stuck on walls and doors a lot of times before I finally gave up. I would enjoy playing this one again once the movement is fixed up a bit.

Как мне жаль этих космонавтов, которые оказываются одни в космосе со сломанными скафандрами...
Почему-то игра норовила выкинуть меня за текстуры, наверное, я ей не понравился =\
Спасибо за игру ^_^

Really interesting game, the psychological aspect of this game is really clever, and the design of the game is really well done.

Nice prototype!

The ambiance is well set by the music, sounds and lights.
The story is very short but intriguing.

Here are some bugs I encountered if it can help you:
- I had a lot of problems with the doors, I got stuck many times and had to restart twice.
- The game crashed before the ending.

Thanks for the game!

Thanks for your feedback everyone! This is our first time participating :)
It's really heartwarming to receive so much positivity from all of you, even though our game is lacking in many areas. Because of us being inexperienced in this kind of activities we were panicking a little bit and didn't establish a clear development plan. But this was a great experience anyway and we'll surely get better next time! Thanks again, have a good one!

Great work! The music adds a lot to the mood, I definitely felt creeped out, there's an eerie feeling while exploring. The graphics are good. The story is short but I can tell you had a really good idea for an ambitious game and probably just ran out of time. The controls are a bit clunky and I kept getting stuck in doors and on the first button that openes the door. That said i would love to see a finished game from this prototype. Well done!

Really dig the music and atmosphere, graphics as well. Controls a little tricky, and feels a little short (perhaps unfinished?)

Good job!

Very good job on aesthetics and overall mood! I would play something more lengthy with this mood

It would be nice to have some instructions on controls, as it seems to be not very clear and a bit messy

I like the atmosphere and graphics, but the movement was veeery tricky :slight_frown:. Why not use a simple WASD control? Overall would be great if you continued with the story you had in mind, that stress meter management and survival would be great gameplay elements. I would've loved to see just a tiny bit more in that demo

I had some minor trouble with controls... a bit messy. But nice job on aesthetics and mood!
