Delightfully disturbing!

If anyone here is pondering whether to download a 1.2gb file - yes. Do it. It's worth every kilobyte.
Best and most innovative use of the 'deeper and deeper' theme I've seen so far.

And - tiny spoiler here - the core loop of repeating a menial task at work while slowly feeling how this repetition grinds at the core of your being. I mean god damn, who hasn't felt this at work?

There were a few tiny bugs - some instructions remained in French - but that didn't diminish the experience.

All in all - stellar experience!

Very disturbing game, especially as a Frenchman, listing to the podcast ! Love the way the office changed seamlessly as you progress through the tasks.

It was quite taxing on my GPU for some reason, but that could be because of the effects at some point in the game.

Congrats to all the team !

That was perfect.

Really clever use of a small environment, very inspiring format of game. Amazing detail in all the items, definitely a great use of the Unreal engine. Voice over work was fantastic too, really paid off putting the extra effort in. I like how the game guided you through it and by the end you knew your way around the office.

Hope you are all pleased with the work.

Very cool one. Absolutely fits with the theme of going deeper and deeper. Into madness and the monotony of work in this case :P

The most horrifying walking simulator. When I got to the end and it said press Esc to exit, pressing Esc didn't even work, which was also horrifying. Not many games have voice acting, and this was top notch.

Amazing! At first, I was a little bit distracted by the fact that I don't understand the podcast, and have to read subtitles. But when I saw cameras everywhere the game suddenly clicked for me :smile: I didn't even pay much attention to a podcast at that point and was just wandering around the office, enjoying all of the crazy things happening around me. And the ending was just amazing, even though it might be a little bit too graphical for some people :sweat_smile:

Superb! It was quite an experience. Well done for a big talented team!

I played the mac version and the colours look wrong; I wonder if this has to do with UE4? I noticed similar issues with other UE4 games

very cool idea, graphics are great! Just one minor thing, are the colliders still being in the office room in the last iteration intentional or a bug?

Hey everyone and thanks for you kind comments, our team really appreciate it ! We are really pleased of your positive feedback, and constructive criticism of the game.

@colapolka
Thanks for your kind comment ! Build is indeed very large, because of all the graphical assets and sounds we included. Hope we find a way to resize it !

@mrjotubes
We released an update with ability to tune the graphical settings, but obviously we should make some optimizations to make it less rough around the edges. Thanks anyway playing our game !

@carraka
Thanks to letting us know ESC to leave isn't working in the ending, and that it improved your experience :laughing:. It should be fixed now !

@eldogg
Thanks and congratulations for your entry too ! Very imaginative !

@qviguier
I've heard some other feedbacks referencing this problem as well.. I don't know if this is a Unreal thing or not, will look into that, thanks.

@plovguru
I agree with you, infortunately the current size of the game (lot of 3D assets, sounds and graphics) makes it impossible to package it in a webgl build.

@congusbongus
The colors looks indeed wrong :laughing: . You should use latest MacOS system/drivers in order to have the latest Metal version, it should behave better then.

@substain
It's indeed an intentional feature as our character is still living in the real world, just his perception changes. But we should have made it more obvious

You made good use of the resources you had. 8 people for 3 days is basically 24 days for one person. And I think the result is very good for 24 days! Well done! The ending was a bit abrupt ... maybe I didn't understand it. :P There are a few really interesting visual effets in there. The guidance on the top left was a bit too explicit in my opinion. I prefer more of a "figure it out yourself" approach rather than being told what to do step by step. Nevertheless, this was a great experience :)

WOW :heart_eyes:

That was a fantastic trip. So many great components. Tardigrades! Fantastic mood, incredible work done even for such a large team.

If I'd critique something, it'd be that my brain likes to believe it understands french, which it doesn't. And so I missed quite a bit of the podcasts. In part due to my confusion about what languages I understand, but also that the subtitles could have been a bit more prominent and perhaps also use up roughly 60-70% of the screen width.

It would have been interesting if the tasks, at least after things got strange, were conveyed not with text instructions but in the world with various visual and auditory hints. As an example, the CCTV cameras could have been looking towards the next task when you stared at them, or perhaps looked at the task when you weren't looking directly at the cameras and at the player if the player looked at the cameras.

It was also a bit confusing that the marker changed color right at the start when I hovered the computer screen, but there seemed to be no interaction. It happened in a few places.

Overall though, it was a fantastic experience and I'm really glad that I downloaded it and played it even if I'm lazy and generally avoid games that aren't web-games or playable through the itch-app.

Very impressive! A fantastically crafted experience all around, you even put in voice acting which is rare.

To offer some critical insight, since the voice acting was in french I had a harder time focusing on both doing the tasks and following the podcasts at the same time. Maybe somewhat bigger subtitles could help to alleviate that, dunno. Also, maybe some guidance could have been left more open-ended for the player to explore the game a bit more on their own, but that's merely my preference talking.

In any case, unquestionably worth the download. Huge thumbs up!

This game is a absolutely wonderful experience! I cannot express enough how good this is!
The sounds design is superb, the conspiracies are funny to listen to, all tasks are quick enough to not get tedious and the little interactions with the pigeon where really fun. All in all a really impressive game, so massive compliments to everyone on the team

Very disturbing, and super high production value all around. I think this is the first title I've seen so far that had a graphics options menu, which I really appreciate. Nice work!

Played this on my Stream, here is a VOD link if you're interested: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1004005113

I am curious whether there is an English audio version, or it's just the subtitles, because I was having trouble following the reading while still playing, so the talking was more "background noise" to me. I was laughing a lot at this one though, so great job on that!

Wow !

Lots of Stanley Parable vibes <3

You all seems to have fun making it, love the voice acting !

Narrative structure is great and efficient, one "chapter" by podcast, with reality more and more broken :thumbsup:

Et très surpris d'entendre parler français et de trouver une traduction française, c'est chouette :)
Il faudra juste refaire une passe sur les textes d'objectifs qui comportent de petites fautes.

Mais sinon bravo \o/
